Chronicles 16

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

And they brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it, and they offered up burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.

And when David had finished offering up the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of YHWH.

And he apportioned to every man (ish) of Israel, from man (ish) to woman (ishah), to each man (ish) a loaf of bread, and a portion, and a raisin-cake.

And he appointed before the ark of YHWH some of the Levites as ministers, and to commemorate, and to give thanks, and to praise YHWH, the God of Israel:

Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, with instruments of harps and with lyres; and Asaph sounding aloud with cymbals;

and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant (berit) of God.

On that day, then David first gave to give thanks to YHWH, by the hand of Asaph and his brothers.

Give thanks to YHWH, call upon his name; make known among the peoples his deeds.

Sing to him, sing praises to him; speak of all his wonders.

Glory in his holy name; let the heart of those who seek YHWH rejoice.

Seek YHWH and his strength; seek his face continually.

Remember his marvelous works that he has done, his wonders (mofet) and the judgments (mishpat) of his mouth,

O seed of Israel his servant, sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.

He is YHWH our God; in all the earth are his judgments (mishpat).

Remember forever his covenant (berit), the word he commanded (tzivvah) to a thousand generations,

which he cut with Abraham, and his oath to Isaac,

and he established it to Jacob for a statute (choq), to Israel an everlasting covenant (berit),

saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan, the portion of your inheritance,"

when you were men of number, but few, and sojourners in it.

And they went about from nation to nation, and from a kingdom to another people.

He allowed no man (ish) to oppress them, and he reproved kings on their account:

"Touch not my anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm."

Sing to YHWH, all the earth; proclaim from day to day his salvation (yeshuah).

Recount among the nations his glory, among all the peoples his marvelous works.

For great is YHWH, and greatly to be praised; and he is to be feared above all gods.

For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but YHWH made the heavens.

Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and gladness are in his place.

Ascribe to YHWH, O families of the peoples, ascribe to YHWH glory and strength.

Ascribe to YHWH the glory of his name; lift up an offering and come before him; bow down to YHWH in the splendor of holiness.

Tremble before him, all the earth; indeed, the world is established, it shall not be moved.

Let the heavens be glad and let the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations, "YHWH reigns."

Let the sea roar and its fullness; let the field exult, and all that is in it.

Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy before YHWH, for he comes to judge the earth.

Give thanks to YHWH, for he is good, for his lovingkindness is forever.

And say, "Save us (yasha), O God of our salvation, and gather us and deliver us from the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to glory in your praise."

Blessed be YHWH, the God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting. And all the people said, "Amen," and praised YHWH.

And he left there before the ark of the covenant (berit) of YHWH Asaph and his brothers, to minister before the ark continually, as each day's matter in its day,

and Obed-edom with their brothers, sixty-eight; and Obed-edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah, as gatekeepers;

and Zadok the priest and his brothers the priests before the tabernacle (mishkan) of YHWH in the high place that was at Gibeon,

to offer up burnt offerings to YHWH on the altar of burnt offering continually, morning and evening, and according to all that is written in the Torah of YHWH that he commanded (tzivvah) concerning Israel;

and with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest of the chosen ones who were designated by name, to give thanks to YHWH, for his lovingkindness is forever;

and with them Heman and Jeduthun, with trumpets and cymbals for those sounding aloud, and instruments of the song of God; and the sons of Jeduthun were at the gate.

And all the people went, each man (ish) to his house; and David turned to bless his house.
