Peter 4

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

Since therefore Messiah(Christ) suffered in the sarx(flesh), arm yourselves also with the same ennoia(attitude, disposition) — for whoever has suffered in the sarx(flesh) has ceased from sin —

so as to live for the rest of the chronos(chronological-time) in the sarx(flesh) no longer for human epithymiai(lusts, desires, strong cravings) but for the thelema(will) of God.

For the chronos(chronological-time) that is past suffices for doing what the nations want to do — living in licentiousness, epithymiai(lusts, desires, strong cravings), drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry.

With respect to this they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of debauchery, and they malign you;

but they will give account to Him who is ready to krino(judge) the living and the dead.

For this is why the good news was proclaimed even to the dead, so that though krino(judge)d in the sarx(flesh) the way people are, they might live in the pneuma(spirit) the way God does.

The end of all things is near; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.

As each has received a charisma(grace-gift), use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied charis(grace).

If anyone speaks, let it be as the logia(oracles) of God; if anyone serves, let it be as by the ischus(strength) that God supplies — so that in all things God may be glorified through Yeshua(Jesus) Messiah(Christ), to whom belong the doxa(glory) and the kratos(dominion) for ever and ever. Amen.

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial taking place among you, as though something strange were happening to you,

but rejoice insofar as you koinoneo(share, participate) in Messiah(Christ)'s sufferings, so that you may also rejoice and be glad at the revelation of His doxa(glory).

If you are insulted for the name of Messiah(Christ), you are blessed, because the pneuma(spirit) of doxa(glory) and of God rests upon you.

For let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler.

Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this name.

For it is the kairos(appointed-time) for krima(verdict) to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the good news of God?

And "if the righteous is scarcely saved, where will the impious and the sinner appear?"

Therefore let those who suffer according to the thelema(will) of God entrust their psychai(souls) to a faithful Creator while doing good.
