1Simeon Peter, a servant and apostle of Yeshua(Jesus) Messiah(Christ), to those who have obtained a faith of equal standing with ours by the dikaiosyne(righteousness) of our God and Savior Yeshua(Jesus) Messiah(Christ):
2may charis(grace) and eirene(peace) be multiplied to you in the epignosis(spiritual, complete knowledge) of God and of Yeshua(Jesus) our Lord.
3His divine dynamis(power) has granted to us all things pertaining to zoe(life) and eusebeia(godliness) through the epignosis(spiritual, complete knowledge) of Him who called us by His own doxa(glory) and excellence,
4by which He has granted to us His precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become koinonos(partakers, sharers) of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world through epithymia(lust, desire, strong craving).
5For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with excellence, and excellence with gnosis(knowledge),
6and gnosis(knowledge) with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with eusebeia(godliness),
7and eusebeia(godliness) with philadelphia(brotherly-love), and philadelphia(brotherly-love) with agape(love).
8For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the epignosis(spiritual, complete knowledge) of our Lord Yeshua(Jesus) Messiah(Christ).
9For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten the cleansing of his former sins.
10Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall;
11for in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Yeshua(Jesus) Messiah(Christ).
12Therefore I intend always to remind you of these things, though you know them and are established in the aletheia(truth) that you have.
13I think it right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by way of reminder,
14since I know that the putting off of my tent will come soon, as our Lord Yeshua(Jesus) Messiah(Christ) made clear to me.
15And I will make every effort so that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things.
16For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the dynamis(power) and parousia(coming-presence) of our Lord Yeshua(Jesus) Messiah(Christ), but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.
17For when He received honor and doxa(glory) from God the Father, and the voice was borne to Him by the Majestic doxa(glory): "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased" —
18we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with Him on the holy mountain.
19And we have the prophetic logos(word) made more certain, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your kardiai(hearts, soul-domains).
20Knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of graphe(written-scripture) comes from one's own interpretation.
21For no prophecy was ever produced by the thelema(will) of man, but people were carried along by the hagio(holy) pneuma(spirit) and spoke from God.
