Exodus 10

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

And YHWH said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, in order that I may set these my signs (ot) in his midst,

and in order that you may recount in the ears of your son and your son's son how I have dealt ruthlessly with Egypt, and my signs (ot) which I set among them; that you may know that I am YHWH."

And Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him, "Thus says YHWH, the God of the Hebrews: How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me (avad)."

"For if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow I am bringing locusts into your border;

and it shall cover the eye of the land, so that one is not able to see the land; and it shall eat the remainder of what escaped, that which remains to you from the hail, and it shall eat every tree that grows for you from the field.

And your houses shall be filled, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all Egypt — which neither your fathers nor your fathers' fathers have seen, from the day they were upon the ground (adamah) until this day." And he turned and went out from with Pharaoh.

And Pharaoh's servants said to him, "How long shall this be a snare to us? Let the men (ish) go, that they may serve (avad) YHWH their God. Do you not yet know that Egypt is destroyed?"

And Moses and Aaron were brought back to Pharaoh, and he said to them, "Go, serve (avad) YHWH your God. Who and who are the ones going?"

And Moses said, "With our young and with our old we will go; with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds we will go, for a feast (chag) of YHWH is for us."

And he said to them, "May YHWH be so with you, just as I let you go and your little ones! See that evil is before your faces.

Not so; go now, you men, and serve (avad) YHWH, for that is what you are seeking." And they were driven out from the presence of Pharaoh.

And YHWH said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that it may come up over the land of Egypt and eat every herb of the land, all that the hail has left."

And Moses stretched out his staff over the land of Egypt, and YHWH drove a spirit (ruach) of the east in the land all that day and all the night; the morning came, and the spirit (ruach) of the east carried the locusts.

And the locusts came up over all the land of Egypt and rested in all the border of Egypt; very heavy were they. Before them there were no such locusts as they, and after them there will not be so.

And it covered the eye of all the land, and the land was darkened; and it ate every herb of the land and all the fruit of the tree that the hail had left; and there remained not any green thing on the tree or in the herb of the field in all the land of Egypt.

And Pharaoh hastened to call for Moses and Aaron, and he said, "I have sinned against YHWH your God and against you.

And now, forgive, please, my sin only this time, and entreat YHWH your God, that he may turn aside from me only this death."

And he went out from with Pharaoh and entreated YHWH.

And YHWH turned a very strong spirit (ruach) of the sea, and it carried the locusts and thrust them into the Sea of Reeds; there remained not one locust in all the border of Egypt.

And YHWH strengthened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not let the children of Israel go.

And YHWH said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand toward the heavens, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, and let one feel the darkness."

And Moses stretched out his hand toward the heavens, and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days.

They did not see, a man (ish) his brother, nor did anyone rise, a man (ish), from his place for three days; but for all the children of Israel there was light in their dwellings.

And Pharaoh called to Moses and said, "Go, serve (avad) YHWH; only your flocks and your herds shall be left behind; your little ones also shall go with you."

And Moses said, "You also must give into our hand sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may offer them to YHWH our God.

And also our livestock shall go with us; not a hoof shall be left, for from it we will take to serve (avad) YHWH our God; and we ourselves do not know with what we shall serve (avad) YHWH until we come there."

And YHWH strengthened Pharaoh's heart, and he was not willing to let them go.

And Pharaoh said to him, "Go from me! Guard yourself; do not see my face again, for in the day you see my face you shall die."

And Moses said, "You have spoken rightly; I will not see your face again."
