Exodus 19

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

In the third month of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, on this day they came into the wilderness of Sinai.

And they journeyed from Rephidim, and they came into the wilderness of Sinai, and they encamped in the wilderness; and there Israel encamped before the mountain.

And Moses went up to God, and YHWH called to him from the mountain, saying, "Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob and tell to the sons of Israel:

You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on wings of eagles and brought you to Myself.

And now, if you will indeed hearken to My voice and keep My covenant (berit), then you shall be to Me a treasured possession from among all the peoples; for all the earth is Mine.

And you yourselves shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak to the sons of Israel."

And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and he set before them all these words which YHWH commanded him (tzivvah).

And all the people answered together and said, "All that YHWH has spoken we will do." And Moses returned the words of the people to YHWH.

And YHWH said to Moses, "Behold, I am coming to you in the thick of the cloud, so that the people may hear when I speak with you, and also in you they may believe forever." And Moses told the words of the people to YHWH.

And YHWH said to Moses, "Go to the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments,

and let them be ready for the third day; for on the third day YHWH will come down before the eyes of all the people upon Mount Sinai.

And you shall set bounds for the people round about, saying, 'Guard yourselves from going up into the mountain or touching its edge; whoever touches the mountain shall surely be put to death.

No hand shall touch it, but he shall surely be stoned or surely be shot through; whether beast or man (ish), it shall not live.' When the ram's horn sounds long, they shall come up into the mountain."

And Moses went down from the mountain to the people, and he sanctified the people, and they washed their garments.

And he said to the people, "Be ready for the three days; do not come near to a woman (ishah)."

And it came to pass on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings and a heavy cloud upon the mountain, and a very strong sound of a horn; and all the people who were in the camp trembled.

And Moses brought out the people from the camp to meet God, and they stationed themselves at the lower part of the mountain.

And Mount Sinai was wholly in smoke, because YHWH came down upon it in the fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of the furnace, and the whole mountain trembled greatly.

And it came to pass, the sound of the horn was going and growing very strong; Moses would speak, and God would answer him by a voice.

And YHWH came down upon Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain; and YHWH called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

And YHWH said to Moses, "Go down, warn the people, lest they break through to YHWH to see, and many of them fall.

And also the priests who come near to YHWH shall sanctify themselves, lest YHWH break forth upon them."

And Moses said to YHWH, "The people are not able to come up to Mount Sinai; for You yourself warned us, saying, 'Set bounds about the mountain and sanctify it.'"

And YHWH said to him, "Go, get down, and you shall come up, you and Aaron with you; but the priests and the people, let them not break through to come up to YHWH, lest He break forth upon them."

And Moses went down to the people, and he said to them.
