1And these are the names of the tribes: from the north end, beside the way of Hethlon to the entrance of Hamath, Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus northward, beside Hamath; and they shall be his, the east side and the seaward side—Dan, one.
2And by the border of Dan, from the east side to the west side: Asher, one.
3And by the border of Asher, from the east side to the west side: Naphtali, one.
4And by the border of Naphtali, from the east side to the west side: Manasseh, one.
5And by the border of Manasseh, from the east side to the west side: Ephraim, one.
6And by the border of Ephraim, from the east side to the west side: Reuben, one.
7And by the border of Reuben, from the east side to the west side: Judah, one.
8And by the border of Judah, from the east side to the west side, shall be the offering that you shall set apart, five and twenty thousand in breadth, and in length like one of the portions, from the east side to the west side; and the sanctuary shall be in its midst.
9The offering that you shall set apart to YHWH: the length, five and twenty thousand, and the breadth, ten thousand.
10And for these shall the holy offering be, for the priests: northward, five and twenty thousand; and westward, breadth, ten thousand; and eastward, breadth, ten thousand; and southward, length, five and twenty thousand; and the sanctuary of YHWH shall be in its midst.
11For the priests who are sanctified, from the sons of Zadok, who kept my charge (mishmeret), who did not go astray when the sons of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.
12And it shall be for them an offering-portion from the offering of the land, a holy of holies, by the border of the Levites.
13And the Levites, alongside the border of the priests: five and twenty thousand in length, and ten thousand in breadth; all the length, five and twenty thousand, and the breadth, ten thousand.
14And they shall not sell of it, and they shall not exchange, and they shall not transfer the firstfruits of the land; for it is holy to YHWH.
15And the five thousand that remain in the breadth, in front of the five and twenty thousand, is common, for the city, for dwelling and for open land; and the city shall be in its midst.
16And these are its measures: the north side, four thousand five hundred; and the south side, four thousand five hundred; and from the east side, four thousand five hundred; and the west side, four thousand five hundred.
17And the open land of the city shall be: northward, two hundred and fifty; and southward, two hundred and fifty; and eastward, two hundred and fifty; and westward, two hundred and fifty.
18And the remainder in the length, alongside the holy offering, ten thousand eastward and ten thousand westward; and it shall be alongside the holy offering; and its produce shall be for bread for those who serve (avad) the city.
19And the one who serves (avad) the city, from all the tribes of Israel, shall serve it (avad).
20All the offering, five and twenty thousand by five and twenty thousand; a fourth you shall set apart, the holy offering, with the possession of the city.
21And the remainder shall be for the prince, on this side and on that of the holy offering and of the possession of the city, before the five and twenty thousand of the offering to the east border, and westward before the five and twenty thousand to the west border, alongside the portions, for the prince; and the holy offering and the sanctuary of the house shall be in its midst.
22And from the possession of the Levites and from the possession of the city, in the midst of that which is the prince's, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, it shall be the prince's.
23And the rest of the tribes: from the east side to the west side: Benjamin, one.
24And by the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west side: Simeon, one.
25And by the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side: Issachar, one.
26And by the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west side: Zebulun, one.
27And by the border of Zebulun, from the east side to the west side: Gad, one.
28And by the border of Gad, to the south side southward, the border shall be from Tamar to the waters of Meribath-kadesh, the brook, to the Great Sea.
29This is the land that you shall apportion by lot for inheritance to the tribes of Israel, and these are their divisions, declares my Lord (Adonai) YHWH.
30And these are the goings out of the city: from the north side, four thousand five hundred by measure.
31And the gates of the city, after the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward—the gate of Reuben, one; the gate of Judah, one; the gate of Levi, one.
32And at the east side, four thousand five hundred, and three gates: the gate of Joseph, one; the gate of Benjamin, one; the gate of Dan, one.
33And the south side, four thousand five hundred by measure, and three gates: the gate of Simeon, one; the gate of Issachar, one; the gate of Zebulun, one.
34The west side, four thousand five hundred, their gates three: the gate of Gad, one; the gate of Asher, one; the gate of Naphtali, one.
35Round about, eighteen thousand; and the name of the city from that day shall be: YHWH is there (YHWH Shammah).
