Judges 10

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

And there arose after Abimelech to save (yasha) Israel Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man (ish) of Issachar; and he was dwelling in Shamir in the hill country of Ephraim.

And he judged Israel twenty and three years, and he died, and was buried in Shamir.

And there arose after him Jair the Gileadite, and he judged Israel twenty and two years.

And he had thirty sons riding on thirty ass colts, and they had thirty cities; they call them Havvoth-jair until this day, which are in the land of Gilead.

And Jair died, and was buried in Kamon.

And the children of Israel added to do the evil in the eyes of YHWH, and served (avad) the Baalim, and the Ashtaroth, and the gods of Aram, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines; and they forsook YHWH, and did not serve (avad) Him.

And the anger of YHWH was kindled against Israel, and He sold them into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the children of Ammon.

And they shattered and crushed the children of Israel in that year; eighteen years all the children of Israel that were beyond the Jordan in the land of the Amorite that is in Gilead.

And the children of Ammon passed over the Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; and Israel was greatly distressed.

And the children of Israel cried out to YHWH, saying, "We have sinned against You, and because we have forsaken our God, and have served (avad) the Baalim."

And YHWH said to the children of Israel, "Was it not from the Egyptians, and from the Amorite, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines—

And the Zidonians, and Amalek, and Maon oppressed you; and you cried out to Me, and I saved (yasha) you out of their hand.

Yet you have forsaken Me, and served (avad) other gods; therefore I will not add to save (yasha) you.

Go and cry out to the gods which you have chosen for yourselves; let them save (yasha) you in the time of your distress."

And the children of Israel said to YHWH, "We have sinned; do You to us according to all that is good in Your eyes; only deliver us, please, this day."

And they put away the gods of the foreigner from among them, and served (avad) YHWH; and His soul (nephesh) grew short at the misery of Israel.

And the children of Ammon were called together, and encamped in Gilead. And the children of Israel gathered, and encamped in Mizpah.

And the people, the princes of Gilead, said man (ish) to his neighbor, "Who is the man (ish) that will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? He shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead."
