Jeremiah 15

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

And YHWH said to me: "Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, my soul (nephesh) would not be toward this people; send them away from before my face, and let them go out.

And it shall be, when they say to you: 'Where shall we go out?' then you shall say to them: Thus said YHWH: Those who are for death, to death; and those who are for the sword, to the sword; and those who are for the famine, to the famine; and those who are for captivity, to captivity.

And I will appoint over them four families, declares YHWH: the sword to slay, and the dogs to drag, and the bird of the heavens, and the beast of the earth, to devour and to destroy.

And I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for what he did in Jerusalem.

For who will have pity on you, Jerusalem? and who will bemoan you? and who will turn aside to ask of your welfare?

You have forsaken me, declares YHWH, you go backward; so I stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you; I am weary of relenting.

And I winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land; I bereaved, I destroyed my people; from their ways they did not return.

Their widows have become more numerous to me than the sand of the seas; I have brought to them, against the mother of a young man, a spoiler at noon; I have caused to fall upon her suddenly anguish and terrors.

She who bore seven languishes, she breathes out her soul (nephesh); her sun has set while it was yet day, she is ashamed and confounded; and their remnant I will give to the sword before their enemies, declares YHWH.

Woe to me, my mother, that you bore me, a man (ish) of strife and a man (ish) of contention to the whole land! I have not lent, and they have not lent to me; yet all of them curse me.

YHWH said: "Surely I will set you free for good; surely I will make the enemy entreat you in the time of evil and in the time of trouble.

Shall one break iron, iron from the north, and bronze?

Your wealth and your treasures I will give for spoil, not for a price, and that for all your sins, and in all your borders.

And I will make your enemies pass into a land that you did not know; for a fire is kindled in my nostril, against you it shall burn."

You know, YHWH; remember me, and visit me, and take vengeance for me on my persecutors; in your long-suffering do not take me away; know that for your sake I have borne reproach.

Your words were found, and I ate them; and your word became to me a joy and the gladness of my heart; for your name is called upon me, YHWH, God of hosts (tzevaot).

I did not sit in the assembly of merrymakers, nor exult; because of your hand I sat alone, for you filled me with indignation.

Why has my pain become perpetual, and my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? Will you indeed be to me like a deceptive brook, like waters that are not faithful?

Therefore thus said YHWH: If you return, then I will bring you back; you shall stand before me; and if you bring out the precious from the vile, you shall be as my mouth; let them return to you, but you shall not return to them.

And I will make you to this people a fortified wall of bronze; and they will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you to save you (yasha) and to deliver you, declares YHWH.

And I will deliver you from the hand of the evil ones, and I will redeem you from the palm of the ruthless.
