Job 4

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

And Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said:

If one ventures a word to you, will you be weary? But to refrain from words, who is able?

Behold, you have instructed many, and weak hands you have strengthened.

Your words have raised up the stumbling one, and the buckling knees you have made firm.

For now it comes to you, and you are weary; it touches you, and you are dismayed.

Is not your fear your confidence, and your hope the integrity of your ways?

Remember, please: who that was innocent ever perished? And where were the upright destroyed?

As I have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap it.

From the breath (neshamah) of God they perish, and from the spirit (ruach) of his nostril they are consumed.

The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions are broken.

The strong lion perishes for lack of prey, and the sons of the lioness are scattered.

And to me a word was stolen, and my ear took a whisper of it.

In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men (ish),

dread befell me, and trembling, and it made the multitude of my bones dread.

And a spirit (ruach) passes over my face; it makes the hair of my flesh (basar) bristle.

It stands still, but I do not recognize its appearance; a form is before my eyes; silence, then I hear a voice:

"Can a mortal man be more righteous than God? Can a man be more pure than his Maker?

Behold, in his servants he does not trust, and his angels he charges with error;

how much more those who dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust (aphar); they are crushed before the moth!

From morning to evening they are shattered; without anyone regarding it, forever they perish.

Is not their tent-cord pulled up within them? They die, and not in wisdom."
