Luke 11

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

And it came about that while He was in a certain place praying, when He ceased, one of His disciples said to Him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples."

He said to them, "When you pray, say: 'Our Father who is in the heavens, hallowed be Your name; Your kingdom come; Your thelema(will) be done, as in heaven also on earth.

Give us each day our daily bread.

And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us; and do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'"

And He said to them, "Which of you shall have a friend and go to him at midnight and say to him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves,

because a friend of mine has arrived at my house from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him'?

And that one will answer from inside, 'Do not bother me; the door is already shut and my children are with me in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything.'

I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

And I say to you: ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.

For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

What father among you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish?

Or if he asks for an egg, will he give him a scorpion?

If you then, being evil, know how to give good doma(gifts) to your children, how much more will the Father who is from heaven give hagio(holy) pneuma(spirit) to those who ask Him?"

And He was casting out a daimonion(individual evil spirit to be expelled), and it was mute; when the daimonion(individual evil spirit to be expelled) went out the mute man spoke, and the crowds marveled.

But some of them said, "He casts out daimonion(individual evil spirits to be expelled) by Beelzebul, the ruler of the daimonion(individual evil spirits to be expelled)."

Others, to test Him, were seeking from Him a sign from heaven.

But knowing their thoughts He said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and house falls upon house.

And if Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out daimonion(individual evil spirits to be expelled) by Beelzebul.

And if I cast out daimonion(individual evil spirits to be expelled) by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your krites(judges).

But if I cast out daimonion(individual evil spirits to be expelled) by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his possessions are in eirene(peace).

But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him, he takes away all his armor in which he trusted and distributes his plunder.

Whoever is not with Me is against Me, and whoever does not gather with Me scatters.

When the akathartos(unclean) pneuma(spirit) has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and finding none it says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.'

And when it comes it finds the house swept and put in order.

Then it goes and brings seven other pneuma(spirits) more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person becomes worse than the first.

And it came about as He said these things, a woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, "Blessed is the womb that bore You and the breasts at which You nursed."

But He said, "On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the logos(word) of God and keep it."

As the crowds were increasing, He began to say, "This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah the prophet.

For just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man also be to this generation.

The queen of the South will rise up at the krisis(judgment) with the men of this generation and katakrino(condemn) them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the sophia(wisdom) of Solomon; and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.

The men of Nineveh will stand up at the krisis(judgment) with this generation and katakrino(condemn) it, because they repented at the proclamation of Jonah; and behold, something greater than Jonah is here.

No one, after lighting a lamp, puts it in a cellar nor under a basket, but on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.

The lamp of the body is your eye; when your eye is clear, your whole body also is full of light; but when it is bad, your body also is full of darkness.

Therefore watch that the light in you is not darkness.

If therefore your whole body is full of light, having no part that is dark, it will be entirely full of light, as when a lamp illuminates you with its radiance.

Now while He was speaking, a Pharisee asked Him to dine with him; so He went in and reclined at the table.

The Pharisee was surprised when he saw that He did not first wash before the meal.

But the Lord said to him, "Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but your inside is full of greed and wickedness.

Fools! Did not the One who made the outside also make the inside?

But give the things inside as alms, and behold, all things are clean for you.

But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every garden herb, and neglect krisis(judgment) and the love of God; these you ought to have done without neglecting the others.

Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the front seats in the synagogues and the greetings in the marketplaces.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like unseen graves, and the people who walk over them do not know it."

One of the lawyers answered and said to Him, "Teacher, in saying these things You insult us too."

And He said, "Woe to you lawyers also! For you load people with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves will not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.

Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets, but your fathers killed them.

So you are witnesses and you consent to the deeds of your fathers; for they killed them, and you build their tombs.

For this reason also the sophia(wisdom) of God said, 'I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and some they will drive away,'

so that the blood of all the prophets shed since the foundation of the world may be required of this generation,

from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zacharias who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary; yes, I tell you, it will be required of this generation.

Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of gnosis(knowledge); you did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering."

As He said these things to them, the scribes and Pharisees began to be very hostile and to interrogate Him on many matters,

lying in wait for Him and seeking to catch something from His mouth, in order to accuse Him.
