Then scribes and Pharisees came to Yeshua(Jesus) from Jerusalem and said:
"Why do Your disciples parabaíno(going-ahead-and-departing, transgressing) the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread."
And He answered and said to them: "Why do you also parabaíno(going-ahead-and-departing, transgressing) the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?
For God said: 'Honor your father and mother' and 'The one who speaks evil of father or mother must be put to death.'
But you say: 'Whoever says to his father or mother, "Whatever I have that would benefit you is a doron(offering, gift) to God" —
he is not to honor his father or his mother.' And so you have nullified the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition.
Hypocrites! Rightly did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:
'This people honors Me with their lips, but their kardia(heart, soul-domain) is far away from Me.
But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'"
And summoning the crowd He said to them: "Hear and understand.
It is not what enters the mouth that defiles the person, but what proceeds out of the mouth — this defiles the person."
Then the disciples came and said to Him: "Do You know that the Pharisees were skandalizo(offended, made-to-stumble) when they heard this logos(word)?"
But He answered and said: "Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant will be rooted up.
Leave them alone — they are blind guides of the blind; and if a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit."
Peter answered and said to Him: "Explain the parable to us."
And Yeshua(Jesus) said: "Are you still without understanding?
Do you not understand that everything that enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated?
But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the kardia(heart, soul-domain), and those defile the person.
For out of the kardia(heart, soul-domain) come evil dialogismoi(reasoning, deliberations) — murders, adulteries, sexual immorality, thefts, false testimonies, blasphemies.
These are the things that defile the person, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the person."
Yeshua(Jesus) went away from there and withdrew into the region of Tyre and Sidon.
And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and was crying out, saying: "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is terribly demon(individual evil spirit to be expelled)-possessed."
But He did not answer her a logos(word). And His disciples came and were asking Him, saying: "Send her away, because she keeps crying out after us."
But He answered and said: "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
But she came and was bowing down before Him, saying: "Lord, help me!"
And He answered and said: "It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs."
But she said: "Yes, Lord — for even the little dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table."
Then Yeshua(Jesus) answered and said to her: "O woman, your faith is great; let it be done for you as you wish" — and her daughter was healed from that hora(that-hour).
Departing from there, Yeshua(Jesus) went along beside the Sea of Galilee, and having gone up on the mountain He was sitting there.
And large crowds came to Him, bringing with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others, and they laid them down at His feet; and He healed them —
so that the crowd marveled as they saw the mute speaking, the maimed restored, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.
And Yeshua(Jesus) called His disciples to Him and said: "I feel compassion for the crowd, because they have remained with Me now three days and have nothing to eat; and I do not want to send them away hungry, otherwise they might faint on the way."
The disciples said to Him: "Where would we get so many loaves in this desolate place to satisfy such a large crowd?"
And Yeshua(Jesus) said to them: "How many loaves do you have?" And they said: "Seven, and a few small fish."
And He directed the crowd to sit down on the ground;
and He took the seven loaves and the fish, and giving thanks He broke them and started giving them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.
And they all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up what was left over of the broken pieces — seven large baskets full.
And those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
And sending away the crowds, He got into the boat and came to the region of Magadan.
