Matthew 4

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

Then Yeshua(Jesus) was led up into the wilderness by the pneuma(spirit) to be tempted by the diabolos(devil, accuser, slanderer).

And after fasting forty days and forty nights, He was afterward hungry.

And the tempter came and said to Him: "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."

But He answered and said: "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every rhema(spoken-word) that proceeds through the mouth of God.'"

Then the diabolos(devil, accuser, slanderer) took Him into the holy city and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple,

and said to Him: "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down, for it is written: 'He will command His angels concerning You, and on their hands they will bear You up, lest You strike Your foot against a stone.'"

Yeshua(Jesus) said to him: "Again it is written: 'You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.'"

Again the diabolos(devil, accuser, slanderer) took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory,

and said to Him: "All these things I will give You if You fall down and worship me."

Then Yeshua(Jesus) said to him: "Go away, Satan! For it is written: 'You shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.'"

Then the diabolos(devil, accuser, slanderer) left Him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to Him.

Now when Yeshua(Jesus) heard that John had been delivered up, He withdrew to Galilee,

and leaving Nazareth, He came and settled in Capernaum, which is beside the sea in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali,

so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, saying:

"Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the ethne(ethnic-groups, Gentiles) —

the people sitting in darkness saw a great light, and to those sitting in the region and shadow of death, light dawned."

From that time Yeshua(Jesus) began to proclaim and say: "metanoeite(Repent, spiritual domain), for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near."

And walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers — Simon called Peter and Andrew his brother — casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.

And He said to them: "Come after Me, and I will make you fishers of people."

They immediately left the nets and followed Him.

And going on from there He saw two other brothers — James the son of Zebedee and John his brother — in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and He called them.

They immediately left the boat and their father and followed Him.

And Yeshua(Jesus) was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.

And the report about Him went out into all Syria, and they brought to Him all those who were ill — those afflicted with various diseases and torments, demon(individual evil spirit to be expelled)-possessed, and moon-struck, and paralyzed — and He healed them.

And large crowds followed Him from Galilee and the Decapolis(ten cities) and Jerusalem and Judea and from beyond the Jordan.
