Matthew 6

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

Be careful not to practice your charitable giving before people to be seen by them — otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in the heavens.

So when you give charitable giving, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be glorified by people — truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.

But when you give charitable giving, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

so that your charitable giving may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you openly.

And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by people — truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.

But you, when you pray, go into your inner room and closing your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.

And when praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the pagans do, for they think they will be heard for their many words.

Therefore do not be like them, for your Father knows what things you need before you ask Him.

Pray then in this way: 'Our Father who is in the heavens, hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come. Your thelema(will) be done, as in heaven so on earth.

Give us today our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one — for Yours is the kingdom and the dynamis(power) and the glory forever. Amen.'

For if you forgive people their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

But if you do not forgive people, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.

And whenever you fast, do not put on a gloomy face like the hypocrites, for they make their faces unattractive so that they may appear to people to be fasting — truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.

But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,

so that you may not appear to people to be fasting, but to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;

for where your treasure is, there will your kardia(heart, soul-domain) be also.

The lamp of the body is the eye; so if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.

But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness — if therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

No one is able to serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other — you cannot serve God and Mammon(wealth, riches).

For this reason I say to you: do not be anxious for your psyche(soul) — what you will eat or what you will drink — nor for your body, what you will put on, for is not the psyche(soul) more than food and the body more than clothing?

Look at the birds of heaven, for they do not sow nor do they reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them — are you not worth more than they?

And which of you by being anxious is able to add a single cubit to his height?

And why are you anxious about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow — they do not toil nor do they spin,

yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.

But if God so clothes the grass of the field — which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace — will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Do not be anxious then, saying: 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'With what will we clothe ourselves?'

For all these things the ethne(ethnic-groups, Gentiles) eagerly seek, and your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His dikaiosyne(righteousness), and all these things will be added to you.

So do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself — sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
