1I love, because YHWH hears my voice, my supplications.
2Because he has inclined his ear to me, and in my days I will call.
3The cords of death encompassed me, and the straits of Sheol found me; distress and sorrow I found.
4And on the name of YHWH I called: "I beseech you, O YHWH, deliver my soul (nephesh)!"
5Gracious is YHWH, and righteous; and our God is compassionate.
6YHWH guards the simple; I was brought low, and he saved me (yasha).
7Return, O my soul (nephesh), to your rest, for YHWH has dealt bountifully with you.
8For you have delivered my soul (nephesh) from death, my eye from tears, my foot from stumbling.
9I will walk before YHWH in the lands of the living (chai).
10I believed, therefore I spoke; I was greatly afflicted.
11I said in my haste, "Every man (adam) is a liar."
12What shall I return to YHWH for all his benefits toward me?
13The cup of salvations (yeshuah) I will lift, and on the name of YHWH I will call.
14My vows to YHWH I will pay, now in the presence of all his people.
15Precious in the eyes of YHWH is the death of his faithful ones.
16I beseech you, O YHWH, for I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your handmaid; you have loosed my bonds.
17To you I will sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and on the name of YHWH I will call.
18My vows to YHWH I will pay, now in the presence of all his people,
19in the courts of the house of YHWH, in the midst of you, O Jerusalem. Praise Yah!
