1A Song of the Ascents. Out of the depths I have called You, YHWH.
2My Lord (Adonai), hear my voice; let Your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3If iniquities You should keep, Yah, my Lord (Adonai), who could stand?
4But with You is forgiveness, so that You may be feared.
5I have waited for YHWH; my soul (nephesh) has waited, and for His word I have hoped.
6My soul (nephesh) is for my Lord (Adonai), more than watchmen for the morning, watchmen for the morning.
7Hope, Israel, in YHWH, for with YHWH is lovingkindness, and abundant with Him is redemption.
8And He shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
