1For the leader. Of David. The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God"; they have corrupted, they have done abominable deeds; there is none doing good.
2YHWH has looked down from heaven upon the sons of man (adam), to see if there is one who is prudent, who seeks God.
3The whole has turned aside, together they have become corrupt; there is none doing good, not even one.
4Do they not know, all the workers of iniquity, who eat my people as they eat bread, and do not call upon YHWH?
5There they feared a fear, for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6The counsel of the afflicted you would shame, but YHWH is his refuge.
7Who will give from Zion the salvation (yeshuah) of Israel? When YHWH turns the captivity of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.
