Praise Yah! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant, praise is fitting.
YHWH builds Jerusalem; the outcasts of Israel he gathers.
He heals the broken of heart, and binds up their wounds.
He counts the number of the stars; to all of them he calls names.
Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; to his understanding there is no number.
YHWH upholds the humble; he brings the wicked down to the earth.
Sing to YHWH with thanksgiving; sing praises to our God with the harp;
who covers the heavens with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes the mountains sprout grass.
He gives to the beast its food, to the sons of the raven that cry.
He delights not in the strength of the horse; he takes no pleasure in the legs of the man (ish).
YHWH takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who wait for his lovingkindness.
Extol YHWH, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion.
For he has strengthened the bars of your gates; he has blessed your sons within you.
He who makes your border peace; with the fat of wheat he satisfies you.
He sends his saying to the earth; his word runs very swiftly.
He gives snow like wool; he scatters frost like ashes.
He casts his ice like morsels; before his cold who can stand?
He sends his word and melts them; he makes his wind (ruach) blow, the waters flow.
He declares his words to Jacob, his statutes (chuqqim) and his judgments (mishpat) to Israel.
He has not done so for any nation; and judgments (mishpat), they have not known them. Praise Yah.
