To the choirmaster. Of the sons of Korah. Upon Alamoth. A Song.
God is for us a refuge and strength, a help in troubles, very readily found.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth changes and though the mountains slip into the heart of the seas;
though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling. Selah.
A river—its streams make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles (mishkan) of the Most High (Elyon).
God is in her midst; she shall not be moved; God will help her at the turning of morning.
Nations roared, kingdoms slipped; He gave forth His voice, the earth melts.
YHWH of hosts (tzevaot) is with us; a high refuge for us is the God of Jacob. Selah.
Come, behold the works of YHWH, who has set desolations in the earth.
He makes wars to shabbat to the end of the earth; the bow He breaks and cuts the spear in pieces; the chariots He burns in the fire.
Let be, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
YHWH of hosts (tzevaot) is with us; a high refuge for us is the God of Jacob. Selah.
