Psalms 7

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

Shiggaion of David, which he sang to YHWH concerning the words of Cush, a Benjamite.

YHWH my God, in you I have taken refuge; save me (yasha) from all my pursuers, and deliver me,

lest he tear my soul (nephesh) like a lion, rending, and there is none to deliver.

YHWH my God, if I have done this, if there is injustice in my hands,

if I have repaid evil to the one at peace with me — and I despoiled my adversary without cause —

let the enemy pursue my soul (nephesh) and overtake it, and let him trample my life (chai) to the earth, and let him lay my glory in the dust (aphar). Selah.

Arise, YHWH, in your anger; lift yourself up against the wrath of my adversaries; and awake for me — judgment (mishpat) you have commanded (tzivvah).

And let the congregation of peoples surround you, and over it return on high.

YHWH judges the peoples; judge me, YHWH, according to my righteousness and according to my integrity upon me.

Let the evil of the wicked please come to an end, and may you establish the righteous; for the one who tries hearts and kidneys is a righteous God.

My shield is upon God, who saves (yasha) the upright of heart.

God is a righteous judge, and a God indignant every day.

If he does not turn, he will whet his sword; his bow he has bent and made it ready.

And for him he has prepared instruments of death; his arrows he makes into flaming ones.

Behold, he travails with iniquity; he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood.

He has dug a pit and hollowed it, and he has fallen into the ditch he made.

His trouble returns upon his head, and upon his crown his violence comes down.

I will give thanks to YHWH according to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of YHWH Most High (Elyon).
