1For the divisions of the gatekeepers: for the Korahites, Meshelemiah son of Kore, from the sons of Asaph.
2And to Meshelemiah were sons: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,
3Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.
4And to Obed-edom were sons: Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth,
5Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai the eighth; for God blessed him.
6And to Shemaiah his son were sons born, who ruled in the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valor.
7The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad his brothers, sons of valor, Elihu and Semachiah.
8All these were from the sons of Obed-edom; they and their sons and their brothers, a man (ish) of ability in strength for the service (avodah); sixty and two of Obed-edom.
9And to Meshelemiah were sons and brothers, sons of valor, eighteen.
10And to Hosah, from the sons of Merari, were sons: Shimri the head — for he was not the firstborn, yet his father set him for head —
11Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth; all the sons and brothers of Hosah were thirteen.
12To these were the divisions of the gatekeepers, to the heads of the men, charges alongside their brothers, to minister in the house of YHWH.
13And they cast lots, the small as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for gate by gate.
14And the lot fell eastward to Shelemiah. And for Zechariah his son, a counselor with insight, they cast lots, and his lot came out northward.
15To Obed-edom southward; and to his sons the house of the stores.
16To Shuppim and to Hosah westward, by the gate of Shallecheth, on the highway that goes up, watch alongside watch.
17To the east six Levites, to the north four a day, to the south four a day, and for the stores two by two.
18At the Parbar westward, four at the highway, two at the Parbar.
19These were the divisions of the gatekeepers, for the sons of the Korahite and for the sons of Merari.
20And the Levites — Ahijah was over the treasuries of the house of God and over the treasuries of the holy things.
21The sons of Ladan: the sons of the Gershonite belonging to Ladan, the heads of the fathers belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.
22The sons of Jehieli: Zetham and Joel his brother, over the treasuries of the house of YHWH.
23Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites.
24And Shebuel son of Gershom, son of Moses, was ruler over the treasuries.
25And his brothers by Eliezer: Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.
26This Shelomith and his brothers were over all the treasuries of the holy things which David the king, and the heads of the fathers, the chiefs of the thousands and the hundreds, and the chiefs of the host, had dedicated.
27From the wars and from the spoil they had dedicated, to strengthen the house of YHWH.
28And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul son of Kish, and Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah had dedicated — everyone dedicating anything, it was under the hand of Shelomith and his brothers.
29Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were over the outward work over Israel, for officers and for judges.
30Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brothers, sons of valor, a thousand and seven hundred, were over the oversight of Israel beyond the Jordan westward, for all the work of YHWH and for the service (avodah) of the king.
31Of the Hebronites, Jerijah was the head — of the Hebronites, according to his generations, by fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought out, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Jazer of Gilead.
32And his brothers, sons of valor, were two thousand and seven hundred, heads of the fathers; and David the king appointed them over the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter of God and the matter of the king.
