1And his own house Solomon built thirteen years, and he finished all his house.
2And he built the house of the forest of Lebanon—a hundred cubits its length, and fifty cubits its breadth, and thirty cubits its height—upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cut cedar beams upon the pillars.
3And it was covered with cedar above, over the side-chambers that were upon the pillars—forty-five—fifteen in the row.
4And there were window-frames in three rows; and window opposite window three times.
5And all the doorways and the doorposts were square-framed; and front opposite front three times.
6And the porch of pillars he made—fifty cubits its length, and thirty cubits its breadth—and a porch before them, and pillars and a thick beam before them.
7And the porch of the throne where he would judge, the porch of judgment (mishpat), he made; and it was covered with cedar from the floor to the floor.
8And his house where he would dwell, in the other court within the porch, was of like work to this; and he would make a house for the daughter of Pharaoh, whom Solomon had taken, like this porch.
9All these were costly stones, according to the measures of hewn stone, sawn with the saw within and without, even from the foundation to the coping, and from outside to the great court.
10And it was founded with costly stones, great stones—stones of ten cubits and stones of eight cubits.
11And above were costly stones, according to the measures of hewn stone, and cedar.
12And the great court round about—three rows of hewn stone and a row of cut cedar beams; like the inner court of the house of YHWH, and the porch of the house.
13And king Solomon sent and took Hiram from Tyre.
14He was the son of a widow woman (ishah) from the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man (ish) of Tyre, a worker in bronze; and he was filled with the wisdom and the understanding and the knowledge to do all work in bronze. And he came to king Solomon and did all his work.
15And he formed the two pillars of bronze—eighteen cubits the height of the one pillar, and a line of twelve cubits would encircle the second pillar.
16And two capitals he made to set upon the tops of the pillars, cast of bronze; five cubits the height of the one capital, and five cubits the height of the second capital.
17Nets of checker work, wreaths of chain work, for the capitals that were on the top of the pillars—seven for the one capital and seven for the second capital.
18And he made the pillars; and two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the capitals that were on the top of the pomegranates; and so he did for the second capital.
19And the capitals that were on the top of the pillars were of lily-work in the porch, four cubits.
20And capitals upon the two pillars, also above, close by the belly which was beside the network; and the pomegranates were two hundred, in rows round about upon the second capital.
21And he raised the pillars at the porch of the temple; and he raised the right pillar and called its name Jachin; and he raised the left pillar and called its name Boaz.
22And upon the top of the pillars was lily-work; and the work of the pillars was finished.
23And he made the molten sea—ten in the cubit from its brim to its brim, round all about, and five in the cubit its height; and a line of thirty in the cubit would encircle it round about.
24And gourds beneath its brim round about encircling it—ten in the cubit—surrounding the sea round about; two rows of gourds, cast in its casting.
25It stood upon twelve oxen—three facing northward, and three facing seaward, and three facing toward the Negev, and three facing eastward—and the sea was upon them from above, and all their hinder parts were inward.
26And its thickness was a handbreadth, and its brim like the work of the brim of a cup, like a lily blossom; two thousand baths it would hold.
27And he made the ten bases of bronze—four in the cubit the length of the one base, and four in the cubit its breadth, and three in the cubit its height.
28And this was the work of the base: they had borders, and borders between the rungs.
29And upon the borders that were between the rungs were lions, oxen, and cherubim; and upon the rungs a pedestal above; and beneath the lions and the oxen were wreaths of hanging work.
30And four bronze wheels for the one base, and axles of bronze; and its four feet had supports; beneath the laver were the cast supports, at the side of each one (ish) were wreaths.
31And its mouth from within the capital and upward was a cubit; and its mouth was round, the work of a pedestal, a cubit and a half; and also upon its mouth were carvings; and their borders were square, not round.
32And the four wheels were beneath the borders; and the axles of the wheels were in the base; and the height of the one wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.
33And the work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel; their axles, and their rims, and their spokes, and their hubs—all were cast.
34And four supports at the four corners of the one base; from the base were its supports.
35And on the top of the base was half a cubit in height, round about; and on the top of the base its stays and its borders were of itself.
36And he engraved on the plates of its stays and on its borders cherubim, lions, and palm trees, according to the space of each one (ish), with wreaths round about.
37Like this he made the ten bases—one casting, one measure, one form for all of them.
38And he made ten lavers of bronze—forty baths the one laver would hold, four in the cubit the one laver; one laver upon each of the ten bases.
39And he set the bases—five upon the right shoulder of the house, and five upon the left shoulder of the house; and the sea he set on the right shoulder of the house eastward, opposite the south.
40And Hiram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basins; and Hiram finished doing all the work that he did for king Solomon, the house of YHWH:
41the two pillars, and the bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars—two; and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars;
42and the pomegranates—four hundred—for the two networks, two rows of pomegranates for the one network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were upon the face of the pillars;
43and the bases—ten; and the lavers—ten—upon the bases;
44and the one sea, and the twelve oxen beneath the sea;
45and the pots, and the shovels, and the basins; even all these vessels which Hiram made for king Solomon, the house of YHWH, were of burnished bronze.
46In the plain of the Jordan the king cast them, in the thickness of the ground (adamah), between Succoth and Zarethan.
47And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because of the very great abundance; the weight of the bronze was not searched out.
48And Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of YHWH: the altar of gold, and the table on which was the bread of the Presence, of gold;
49and the lampstands—five on the right and five on the left, before the oracle—of pure gold; and the flower, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold;
50and the basins, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and the firepans, of pure gold; and the sockets for the doors of the inner house, the Holy of Holies, for the doors of the house, of the temple, of gold.
51And all the work which king Solomon did for the house of YHWH was finished. And Solomon brought in the holy things of David his father—the silver, and the gold, and the vessels—he put them in the treasuries of the house of YHWH.
