2 Chronicles 5

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

1And all the work that Solomon did for the house of YHWH was completed; and Solomon brought in the holy things of David his father, and the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels he put in the treasuries of the house of God.

2Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers, of the sons of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant (berit) of YHWH out of the city of David — it is Zion.

3And every man (ish) of Israel assembled to the king at the feast (chag) — it is the seventh month.

4And all the elders of Israel came, and the Levites lifted up the ark.

5And they brought up the ark, and the tent (ohel) of appointed time (moed), and all the holy vessels that were in the tent (ohel); the priests, the Levites, brought them up.

6And the king Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who were assembled to him before the ark, were sacrificing sheep and oxen that could not be counted nor numbered for multitude.

7And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant (berit) of YHWH to its place, to the inner sanctuary of the house, to the holy of holies, to under the wings of the cherubim.

8For the cherubim were spreading wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered over the ark and over its poles from above.

9And they lengthened the poles, and the heads of the poles were seen from the ark on the face of the inner sanctuary, but they were not seen outside; and it has been there to this day.

10There was nothing in the ark but the two tablets that Moses gave there at Horeb, which YHWH cut with the sons of Israel, in their coming out from Egypt.

11And it came to pass, when the priests came out from the holy place — for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, not keeping to the divisions —

12and the Levites, the singers, all of them — Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and their brothers — clothed in fine linen, with cymbals and with harps and lyres, standing east of the altar, and with them priests to a hundred and twenty, sounding with trumpets —

13and it came to pass, as one to the trumpeters and to the singers, to make heard one voice in praising and in thanking YHWH, and as they lifted up the voice with trumpets and with cymbals and with instruments of song, and in praising YHWH, "For he is good, for his lovingkindness is forever," that the house was filled with a cloud, the house of YHWH;

14And the priests were not able to stand to minister because of the cloud; for the glory of YHWH filled the house of God.
