2 Chronicles 8

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

1And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the house of YHWH and his own house,

2that the cities which Huram had given to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the sons of Israel to dwell there.

3And Solomon went to Hamath-zobah, and prevailed against it.

4And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities which he built in Hamath.

5And he built upper Beth-horon and lower Beth-horon, fortified cities, with walls, gates, and bar.

6And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the cities of the chariots, and the cities of the horsemen, and all the desire of Solomon that he desired to build in Jerusalem and in Lebanon and in all the land of his dominion.

7All the people that were left of the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, who were not of Israel—

8of their sons who were left after them in the land, whom the sons of Israel did not consume—Solomon raised them for a levy, to this day.

9And of the sons of Israel, whom Solomon did not make servants for his work; for they were men (ish) of war, and chiefs of his officers, and chiefs of his chariot and his horsemen.

10And these were the chiefs of the officers that king Solomon had, two hundred and fifty, ruling over the people.

11And the daughter of Pharaoh Solomon brought up from the city of David to the house that he had built for her, for he said, No wife (ishah) of mine shall dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because they are holy, those to which the ark of YHWH has come.

12Then Solomon offered up burnt offerings to YHWH on the altar of YHWH which he had built before the porch,

13even by the matter of a day in its day, offering up according to the commandment (mitzvah) of Moses, on the Shabbat, and on the new moons, and on the appointed times (moadim), three times in the year, in the feast (chag) of unleavened bread, and in the feast (chag) of weeks, and in the feast (chag) of booths.

14And he set up, according to the judgment (mishpat) of David his father, the divisions of the priests over their service (avodah), and the Levites over their charges (mishmeret), to praise and to minister opposite the priests, by the matter of a day in its day; and the gatekeepers by their divisions for gate and gate; for so was the commandment (mitzvah) of David the man (ish) of God.

15And they did not turn aside from the commandment (mitzvah) of the king concerning the priests and the Levites for any matter, or concerning the treasures.

16And all the work of Solomon was prepared until the day of the foundation of the house of YHWH and until it was finished. The house of YHWH was complete.

17Then Solomon went to Ezion-geber and to Eloth, on the shore of the sea in the land of Edom.

18And Huram sent to him, by the hand of his servants, ships and servants knowing the sea; and they came with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took from there four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
