The first logos(account) I composed concerning all that Yeshua(Jesus) began to do and to teach, O Theophilus,
until the day on which He was taken up, having given commandments through hagio(holy) pneuma(spirit) to the apostles whom He had chosen.
To these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over forty days and speaking the things concerning the kingdom of God.
And while eating together with them, He charged them not to depart from Jerusalem but to wait for the promise of the Father, "which you heard from Me;
for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized in hagio(holy) pneuma(spirit) not many days from now."
So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, "Lord, are You restoring the kingdom to Israel at this chronos(chronological-time)?"
He said to them, "It is not for you to know the chronos(chronological-time)s or kairos(appointed-time)s that the Father has placed within His own exousia(authority).
But you will receive dynamis(power) when the hagio(holy) pneuma(spirit) comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the farthest part of the earth."
And having said these things, while they were watching He was lifted up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them,
who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Yeshua(Jesus), who was taken up from you into the sky, will come in the same way as you watched Him go into the sky."
Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a sabbaton(referring to every Moed of Leviticus 23) day's journey away.
And when they had entered, they went up to the upper room where they were staying — Peter and James and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James.
All these were devoting themselves with one mind to prayer and supplication, together with the women and Mary the mother of Yeshua(Jesus), and with His brothers.
In those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples and said — the number of names together was about one hundred and twenty —
"Brothers, the graphe(written-scripture) had to be fulfilled, which the hagio(holy) pneuma(spirit) spoke beforehand through the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became the guide to those who arrested Yeshua(Jesus).
For he was counted among us and received his share in this ministry.
Now this man acquired a field with the wages of unrighteousness, and falling headlong he burst open in the middle and all his intestines poured out.
And it became known to all those who were dwelling in Jerusalem, so that that field was called in their own dialect Akeldama(field of blood), that is, Field of Blood.
For it is written in the biblos(book) of Psalms: 'Let his dwelling place become desolate, and let no one dwell in it,' and, 'Let another take his office.'
Therefore it is necessary that of the men who have accompanied us during all the chronos(chronological-time) that the Lord Yeshua(Jesus) went in and out among us,
beginning from the baptism of John until the day He was taken up from us — one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.
And they put forward two: Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also called Justus, and Matthias.
And they prayed and said, "You, Lord, who know the kardia(heart, soul-domain) of all, show which one of these two You have chosen
to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas parabaíno(going-ahead-and-departing, transgressing) to go to his own place."
And they drew lots for them, and the lot fell to Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
