Deuteronomy 32

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; and let the earth hear the words of my mouth.

My teaching will drop as the rain, my speech will distill as the dew, as fine rain upon the grass, and as showers upon the herb.

For I will proclaim the name of YHWH; ascribe greatness to our God.

The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are judgment (mishpat); a God (El) of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright is he.

He has acted corruptly toward him; not his sons, their blemish; a generation crooked and twisted.

Do you thus requite YHWH, O foolish people and not wise? Is he not your father who acquired you? He made you and established you.

Remember the days of old, consider the years of generation upon generation; ask your father, and he will tell you, your elders, and they will say to you.

When the Most High (Elyon) gave the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God.

For the portion of YHWH is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

He found him in a land of wilderness, and in a waste, a howling desert; he encompassed him, he gave him understanding, he guarded him as the pupil of his eye.

As an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreads its wings, takes them, bears them upon its pinions —

YHWH alone led him, and there was no foreign god with him.

He made him ride upon the high places of the earth, and he ate the produce of the field; and he made him suck honey out of the crag, and oil out of the flint of the rock;

curd of cattle and milk of the flock, with fat of lambs and rams, sons of Bashan, and he-goats, with the fat of the kidneys of wheat; and the blood of the grape you drank as foaming wine.

And Jeshurun grew fat and kicked — you grew fat, you grew thick, you became gross — and he abandoned God who made him, and he treated as foolish the Rock of his salvation (yeshuah).

They roused him to jealousy with strangers; with abominations they provoked him.

They sacrificed to demons, not God, gods they did not know, new ones who came lately, whom your fathers did not dread.

The Rock who bore you, you neglected, and you forgot God (El) who brought you forth.

And YHWH saw and spurned, from the provocation of his sons and his daughters.

And he said: "I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end will be; for they are a generation of perversities, sons in whom is no faithfulness.

They, they roused me to jealousy with a not-god, they provoked me with their vanities; and I, I will rouse them to jealousy with a not-people, with a foolish nation I will provoke them.

For a fire has been kindled in my anger, and it burns to the lowest Sheol, and it devours the earth and its produce, and it sets ablaze the foundations of the mountains.

I will heap evils upon them; my arrows I will spend upon them.

Wasted with hunger, and consumed with burning heat and bitter destruction; and the tooth of beasts I will send upon them, with the venom of crawlers of the dust (aphar).

From outside the sword will bereave, and from the chambers terror; both young man and virgin, the suckling with the man (ish) of gray hair.

I said, 'I will dash them in pieces, I will make their memory cease from mankind,'

were it not that I dreaded the provocation of the enemy, lest their adversaries misjudge, lest they say, 'Our hand is exalted, and it was not YHWH who did all this.'

For they are a nation lost of counsel, and there is no understanding in them.

If they were wise, they would understand this, they would discern their latter end.

How could one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and YHWH had shut them up?

For their rock is not as our Rock; even our enemies being judges.

For their vine is from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah; their grapes are grapes of poison, their clusters are bitter.

The venom of great sea-creatures (tannin) is their wine, and the cruel poison of asps.

Is not this stored up with me, sealed in my treasuries?

Vengeance is mine, and recompense, for the time when their foot slips; for the day of their calamity is near, and the things prepared for them make haste.

For YHWH will judge his people, and concerning his servants he will relent, when he sees that the hand is gone, and there is no one shut up or left.

And he will say, 'Where are their gods, the rock in whom they trusted,

who ate the fat of their sacrifices, who drank the wine of their drink offering? Let them rise up and help you; let them be a hiding place over you.

See now that I, I am he, and there is no God with me; I, I kill, and I make alive; I have wounded, and I, I heal; and there is none who delivers from my hand.

For I lift up my hand to the heavens, and I say, 'As I live (chai) forever,

if I sharpen the lightning of my sword, and my hand takes hold on judgment (mishpat), I will return vengeance to my adversaries, and to those who hate me I will recompense.

I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword will devour flesh (basar); from the blood of the slain and the captive, from the head of the leaders of the enemy.'

Shout for joy, O heavens, with him! And let all the sons of God worship him. Shout for joy, O nations, with his people! For he will avenge the blood of his servants, and render vengeance to his adversaries, and atone for the land of his people and his people.

And Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he and Hoshea the son of Nun.

And Moses finished speaking all these words to all Israel.

And he said to them: "Set your heart to all the words which I am testifying against you this day, which you shall command (tzivvah) your sons to observe to do, all the words of this Torah.

For it is not an empty word from you; for it is your life (chai); and through this word you shall prolong days upon the ground (adamah) which you are crossing the Jordan there to possess it."

And YHWH spoke to Moses on that very same day, saying:

"Go up to this mountain of Abarim, mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, which is over against Jericho; and see the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the sons of Israel for a possession;

and die on the mountain where you are going up, and be gathered to your peoples, as Aaron your brother died on mount Hor and was gathered to his peoples;

because you trespassed against me in the midst of the sons of Israel at the waters of Meribath-kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because you did not sanctify me in the midst of the sons of Israel.

For from opposite you shall see the land, but there you shall not enter, into the land which I am giving to the sons of Israel."
