Deuteronomy 8

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

All the commandment (mitzvah) which I am commanding you (tzivvah) this day you shall keep to do, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which YHWH swore to your fathers.

And you shall remember all the way which YHWH your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, to afflict you, to test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments (mitzvah) or not.

And He afflicted you, and let you hunger, and fed you the manna, which you did not know, neither did your fathers know; that He might make you know that man (adam) does not live by bread alone, but by all that proceeds out of the mouth of YHWH does man (adam) live.

Your garment did not wear out from upon you, and your foot did not swell, these forty years.

And you shall know with your heart, that as a man (ish) disciplines his son, YHWH your God disciplines you.

And you shall keep the commandments (mitzvah) of YHWH your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him.

For YHWH your God is bringing you to a good land, a land of brooks of water, fountains and depths going forth in the valley and in the hill;

A land of wheat and barley, and vine and fig and pomegranate, a land of olive oil and honey;

A land in which you shall eat bread not in scarcity, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of its hills you shall dig copper.

And you shall eat and be satisfied, and you shall bless YHWH your God for the good land which He has given you.

Beware lest you forget YHWH your God, in not keeping His commandments (mitzvah) and His judgments (mishpat) and His statutes (chuqqot), which I am commanding you (tzivvah) this day;

Lest you eat and be satisfied, and build good houses and dwell in them,

And your herd and your flock multiply, and silver and gold multiply for you, and all that you have multiplies,

And your heart be lifted up, and you forget YHWH your God, who brought you out from the land of Egypt, from the house of slaves;

Who led you through the great and dreadful wilderness, of serpent, fiery serpent, and scorpion, and drought where there is no water; who brought forth for you water out of the rock of flint;

Who fed you manna in the wilderness, which your fathers did not know, to afflict you and to test you, to do you good in your latter end;

And you say in your heart, "My power and the might of my hand has made for me this wealth."

But you shall remember YHWH your God, for it is He who gives you power to make wealth, that He may establish His covenant (berit) which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

And it shall be, if you indeed forget YHWH your God, and walk after other gods, and serve them (avad), and bow down to them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish.

Like the nations which YHWH is making to perish before you, so shall you perish, because you would not listen to the voice of YHWH your God.
