Exodus 23

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

You shall not lift up a false report; do not put your hand with the wicked to be a witness of violence.

You shall not be after the many to do evil; nor shall you testify in a dispute to turn aside after the many to pervert.

And a poor man you shall not favor in his dispute.

If you meet your enemy's ox or his ass going astray, you shall surely return it to him.

If you see the ass of him who hates you crouching under its burden, and you would refrain from releasing it for him, you shall surely release it with him.

You shall not turn aside the judgment (mishpat) of your needy in his dispute.

From a false matter keep far; and the innocent and the righteous do not slay; for I will not justify the wicked.

And a bribe you shall not take; for the bribe blinds the clear-sighted, and perverts the words of the righteous.

And a stranger you shall not oppress; for you yourselves know the soul (nephesh) of the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

And six years you shall sow your land, and gather in its produce;

but the seventh you shall let it rest and let it lie fallow, that the needy of your people may eat; and what they leave the living thing (chai) of the field shall eat. So you shall do with your vineyard, with your olive grove.

Six days you shall do your deeds, and on the seventh day you shall shabbat; that your ox and your ass may rest, and the son of your maidservant and the stranger may be refreshed.

And in all that I have said to you take heed; and the name of other gods you shall not mention, it shall not be heard upon your mouth.

Three times you shall hold a feast (chag) to me in the year.

The feast (chag) of unleavened bread you shall keep; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded (tzivvah) you, at the appointed time (moed) of the month of Abib, for in it you came out from Egypt; and they shall not appear before my face empty;

and the feast (chag) of harvest, the firstfruits of your labors which you sow in the field; and the feast (chag) of ingathering at the going-out of the year, when you gather in your labors from the field.

Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the face of the Lord (ha-Adon) YHWH.

You shall not sacrifice the blood of my sacrifice upon what is leavened; nor shall the fat of my feast (chag) remain overnight until morning.

The first of the firstfruits of your ground (adamah) you shall bring into the house of YHWH your God. You shall not boil a kid in its mother's milk.

Behold, I am sending an angel before you, to keep you in the way, and to bring you to the place which I have prepared.

Take heed of his face, and hear his voice; do not rebel against him; for he will not pardon your transgression, for my name is within him.

But if you indeed hear his voice, and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries.

For my angel shall go before you, and bring you to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Canaanite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I will cut them off.

You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve (avad) them, nor do according to their doings; but you shall utterly tear them down, and you shall surely break in pieces their pillars.

And you shall serve (avad) YHWH your God, and he will bless your bread and your water; and I will take sickness away from your midst.

There shall not be one miscarrying or barren in your land; the number of your days I will fulfill.

My terror I will send before you, and I will throw into confusion all the people among whom you come, and I will give all your enemies to you by the neck.

And I will send the hornet before you, and it shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before you.

I will not drive him out from before you in one year, lest the land become a desolation, and the living thing (chai) of the field multiply against you.

Little by little I will drive him out from before you, ad(עד) you are fruitful and inherit the land.

And I will set your border from the Sea of Reeds even to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River; for I will give into your hand the inhabitants of the land, and you shall drive them out from before you.

You shall not make with them, nor with their gods, a covenant (berit).

They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me; for you will serve (avad) their gods, for it will be a snare to you.
