Ezekiel 28

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

And the word of YHWH came to me, saying:

Son of man (adam), say to the prince of Tyre: Thus says my Lord (Adonai) YHWH: Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said, I am God, I sit in the seat of God, in the heart of the seas; yet you are a man (adam) and not God, though you set your heart as the heart of God —

behold, you are wiser than Daniel; no secret is hidden from you.

By your wisdom and by your discernment you have gotten for yourself wealth, and gotten gold and silver into your treasuries;

by the abundance of your wisdom, in your trade, you have increased your wealth, and your heart is lifted up because of your wealth —

therefore thus says my Lord (Adonai) YHWH: Because you set your heart as the heart of God,

therefore, behold, I am bringing against you strangers, the terrible of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and they shall defile your brightness.

They shall bring you down to the pit, and you shall die the deaths of the slain in the heart of the seas.

Will you indeed say, I am God, before him who slays you? Yet you are a man (adam) and not God, in the hand of those who defile you.

The deaths of the uncircumcised you shall die by the hand of strangers; for I have spoken, the declaration of my Lord (Adonai) YHWH.

And the word of YHWH came to me, saying:

Son of man (adam), take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him: Thus says my Lord (Adonai) YHWH: You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

In Eden, the garden of God, you were; every precious stone was your covering — the carnelian, the topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the turquoise, and the emerald, and gold; the workmanship of your settings and your sockets was in you; in the day you were created they were prepared.

You were the anointed covering cherub; and I set you, so that you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked.

Perfect were you in your ways from the day you were created, until unrighteousness was found in you.

By the abundance of your trade they filled your midst with violence, and you sinned; therefore I cast you as profane from the mountain of God, and I destroyed you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom because of your brightness; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, that they might gaze upon you.

By the abundance of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your trade, you profaned your sanctuaries; therefore I brought forth a fire from your midst — it devoured you — and I turned you to ashes upon the earth, in the eyes of all who see you.

All who know you among the peoples are appalled at you; you have become a terror, and you are no more, forever.

And the word of YHWH came to me, saying:

Son of man (adam), set your face toward Sidon, and prophesy against it,

and say: Thus says my Lord (Adonai) YHWH: Behold, I am against you, O Sidon, and I will be glorified in the midst of you; and they shall know that I am YHWH, when I execute judgments in her, and am sanctified in her.

For I will send into her pestilence and blood in her streets; and the slain shall fall in the midst of her by the sword upon her from round about; and they shall know that I am YHWH.

And there shall be no more for the house of Israel a pricking brier or a painful thorn from all those round about them who scorn them; and they shall know that I am my Lord (Adonai) YHWH.

Thus says my Lord (Adonai) YHWH: When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and I am sanctified in them in the eyes of the nations, then they shall dwell upon their ground (adamah) which I gave to My servant Jacob.

And they shall dwell upon it securely, and build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell securely, when I execute judgments upon all those who scorn them round about; and they shall know that I am YHWH their God.
