1And the word of YHWH came to me, saying:
2Son of man (adam), set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince, chief of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
3and say: Thus says my Lord (Adonai) YHWH: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince, chief of Meshech and Tubal.
4And I will turn you about, and put hooks in your jaws, and bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full armor, a great assembly with buckler and shield, all of them handling swords;
5Persia, Cush, and Put with them, all of them with shield and helmet;
6Gomer and all its bands, the house of Togarmah in the uttermost parts of the north and all its bands—many peoples with you.
7Be prepared, and prepare for yourself, you and all your assembly that are assembled to you, and be a guard for them.
8After many days you shall be mustered; in the latter years you shall come to a land restored from the sword, gathered out of many peoples, upon the mountains of Israel which had been a continual waste; but it has been brought out from the peoples, and they dwell securely, all of them.
9And you shall go up, you shall come like a storm; you shall be like a cloud to cover the land, you and all your bands, and many peoples with you.
10Thus says my Lord (Adonai) YHWH: And it shall come to pass in that day that things shall come up upon your heart, and you shall devise an evil scheme;
11and you shall say: I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will come upon those at quiet, who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without a wall, and they have neither bars nor gates;
12to take spoil and to seize prey, to turn your hand against the inhabited waste places, and against a people gathered out of the nations, who have acquired cattle and goods, who dwell at the center of the earth.
13Sheba and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, and all its young lions, shall say to you: Have you come to take spoil? Have you assembled your assembly to seize prey? to carry off silver and gold, to take cattle and goods, to take great spoil?
14Therefore prophesy, son of man (adam), and say to Gog: Thus says my Lord (Adonai) YHWH: In that day, when my people Israel dwell securely, will you not know it?
15And you shall come from your place, from the uttermost parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great assembly and a mighty army.
16And you shall come up against my people Israel like a cloud to cover the land; in the latter days it shall be, and I will bring you against my land, that the nations may know me, when I am sanctified in you before their eyes, O Gog.
17Thus says my Lord (Adonai) YHWH: Are you he of whom I spoke in former days by the hand of my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days, for years, that I would bring you against them?
18And it shall come to pass in that day, in the day when Gog comes against the ground (adamah) of Israel—declaration of my Lord (Adonai) YHWH—that my fury shall come up in my nostrils.
19And in my jealousy, in the fire of my wrath, I have spoken: Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking upon the ground (adamah) of Israel;
20so that the fish of the sea, and the birds of the heavens, and the beasts of the field, and every creeping thing that creeps upon the ground (adamah), and every man (adam) who is upon the face of the ground (adamah), shall shake at my presence; and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
21And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains—declaration of my Lord (Adonai) YHWH; every man's (ish) sword shall be against his brother.
22And I will enter into judgment with him with pestilence and with blood; and an overflowing rain, and hailstones, fire, and brimstone, I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many peoples that are with him.
23And I will magnify myself and sanctify myself, and I will make myself known in the eyes of many nations; and they shall know that I am YHWH.
