And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.
And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every living thing (chai) of the earth, and upon every bird of the heavens, upon all that the ground (adamah) creeps with, and upon all the fish of the sea; into your hand they are given.
Every moving thing that is alive (chai) shall be for food for you; as the green herb I have given you all.
But flesh (basar) with its soul (nephesh), its blood, you shall not eat.
And surely your blood, for your souls (nephesh), I will require; from the hand of every living thing (chai) I will require it, and from the hand of man (adam), from the hand of a man (ish), his brother, I will require the soul (nephesh) of man (adam).
Whoever sheds the blood of man (adam), by man (adam) his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God he made man (adam).
And you, be fruitful and multiply; swarm in the earth and multiply in it."
And God said to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,
"And I, behold, I am establishing my covenant (berit) with you, and with your seed after you,
and with every living soul (nephesh) that is with you, of the bird, of the cattle, and of every living thing (chai) of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ark, to every living thing (chai) of the earth.
And I will establish my covenant (berit) with you, and all flesh (basar) shall not be cut off any more by the waters of the flood; and there shall not be a flood any more to destroy the earth."
And God said, "This is the sign (ot) of the covenant (berit) which I am giving between me and you and every living soul (nephesh) that is with you, for everlasting generations:
I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign (ot) of a covenant (berit) between me and the earth.
And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, and the bow is seen in the cloud,
that I will remember my covenant (berit) which is between me and you and every living soul (nephesh) of all flesh (basar); and the waters shall not again become a flood to destroy all flesh (basar).
And the bow shall be in the cloud, and I will see it, to remember the everlasting covenant (berit) between God and every living soul (nephesh) of all flesh (basar) that is upon the earth."
And God said to Noah, "This is the sign (ot) of the covenant (berit) which I have established between me and all flesh (basar) that is upon the earth."
And the sons of Noah who went out of the ark were Shem and Ham and Japheth; and Ham, he is the father of Canaan.
These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was overspread.
And Noah began, a man (ish) of the ground (adamah), and planted a vineyard.
And he drank of the wine and became drunk, and he uncovered himself within his tent.
And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.
And Shem and Japheth took the garment and laid it upon the shoulder of both of them, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they did not see the nakedness of their father.
And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done to him.
And he said, "Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants he shall be to his brothers."
And he said, "Blessed be YHWH, the God of Shem; and let Canaan be a servant to them.
May God enlarge Japheth, and may he dwell in the tents of Shem; and let Canaan be a servant to them."
And Noah lived after the flood three hundred years and fifty years.
And all the days of Noah were nine hundred years and fifty years; and he died.
