Hebrews 2

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

For this reason we must pay closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away.

For if the logos(word) spoken through angels proved to be firm, and every transgression and act of disobedience received a just recompense,

how shall we escape if we neglect such a great Salvation — which, having begun to be proclaimed through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard?

God also bearing witness together with them by signs and wonders and various dynamis(miracles, power) and by distributions of hagio(holy) pneuma(spirit) according to His own thelesis(act-of-willing).

For it was not to angels that He subjected the coming inhabited world, of which we speak.

But someone has testified somewhere, saying, "What is man, that you are mindful of him, or the son of man, that you care for him?

You made him for a little while lower than the angels; you have crowned him with doxa(glory) and honor."

"You put all things in subjection under his feet." For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing outside his control; yet at present we do not yet see all things subjected to him.

But we do see Yeshua(Jesus), who for a little while was made lower than the angels, now crowned with doxa(glory) and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the charis(grace) of God He might taste death for everyone.

For it was fitting for Him — for whom all things exist and through whom all things exist — in bringing many sons to doxa(glory), to perfect the archegos(pioneer-leader) of their Salvation through sufferings.

For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all of one; for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brothers,

saying, "I will proclaim your name to my brothers; in the midst of the ekklesia(called-out community) I will sing your praise."

And again, "I will be trusting in Him," and again, "Behold, I and the children whom God has given me."

Since therefore the children koinoneo(share, partake) in sarx(flesh) and blood, He Himself likewise partook of the same, so that through death He might nullify the one having the kratos(dominion) of death — that is, the diabolos(devil, accuser, slanderer) —

and deliver those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.

For it is not angels that He helps, but He helps the seed of Abraham.

Therefore He was obligated to be made like His brothers in every respect, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

For because He Himself suffered when He was tested, He is able to help those who are being tested.
