Behold, the hand of YHWH is not shortened from saving, neither is his ear heavy from hearing;
But your iniquities have been separating between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, from hearing.
For your palms are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken falsehood, your tongue mutters wickedness.
There is none who calls in righteousness, and none who pleads in faithfulness; trusting in emptiness and speaking vanity, conceiving trouble and bringing forth iniquity.
They have hatched the eggs of an adder, and they weave the webs of a spider; he who eats of their eggs dies, and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper.
Their webs shall not become a garment, neither shall they cover themselves with their works; their works are works of iniquity, and the deed of violence is in their palms.
Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity, devastation and destruction are in their highways.
The way of peace they have not known, and there is no judgment (mishpat) in their tracks; they have made their paths crooked for themselves, everyone who treads in it has not known peace.
Therefore judgment (mishpat) is far from us, and righteousness does not overtake us; we wait for light, but behold darkness, for brightness, but in gloom we walk.
We grope like the blind for a wall, and like those without eyes we grope; we have stumbled at noonday as in the twilight, in desolate places like the dead.
We growl like bears, all of us, and like doves we surely moan; we wait for judgment (mishpat), but there is none, for salvation (yeshuah), but it is far from us.
For our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and our iniquities, we know them:
Transgressing and denying against YHWH, and turning away from after our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
And judgment (mishpat) is turned away backward, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth has stumbled in the street, and uprightness cannot enter.
And the truth is lacking, and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. And YHWH saw, and it was evil in his eyes that there was no judgment (mishpat).
And he saw that there was no man (ish), and he was astonished that there was no intercessor; therefore his own arm saved for him, and his righteousness, it sustained him.
And he put on righteousness as a coat of mail, and a helmet of salvation (yeshuah) upon his head; and he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and wrapped himself with zeal as a cloak.
According to deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompense.
And they shall fear the name of YHWH from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for the adversary shall come in like a river, the spirit (ruach) of YHWH lifts a standard against him.
And a Redeemer shall come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob, declares YHWH.
And as for me, this is my covenant (berit) with them, says YHWH: my spirit (ruach) that is upon you, and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your seed, nor from the mouth of your seed's seed, says YHWH, from now and for ever.
