Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of YHWH has risen upon you.
For behold, the darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but upon you YHWH shall arise, and his glory shall be seen upon you.
And nations shall walk to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
Lift up your eyes round about and see: they all are gathered together, they come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the side.
Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart shall throb and be enlarged; for the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you.
A multitude of camels shall cover you, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; all of them from Sheba shall come; gold and frankincense they shall bear, and the praises of YHWH they shall proclaim.
All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered to you, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; they shall go up with acceptance on my altar, and the house of my glory I will glorify.
Who are these who fly like a cloud, and like the doves to their windows?
For the islands shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of YHWH your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.
And the sons of the foreigner shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you; for in my wrath I struck you, but in my favor I have had compassion on you.
And your gates shall be open continually, day and night they shall not be shut; to bring to you the wealth of the nations, and their kings led in procession.
For the nation and the kingdom that will not serve (avad) you shall perish; yea, the nations shall be utterly laid waste.
The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the cypress, the plane-tree, and the larch together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and the place of my feet I will make glorious.
And the sons of those who afflicted you shall come bending to you, and all who despised you shall bow down at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you, The city of YHWH, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
Instead of your being forsaken and hated, with none passing through, I will make you for an everlasting majesty, a joy of generation and generation.
And you shall suck the milk of nations, and the breast of kings you shall suck; and you shall know that I, YHWH, am your Savior (yasha), and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
Instead of the bronze I will bring gold, and instead of the iron I will bring silver, and instead of the wood, bronze, and instead of the stones, iron; and I will make your oversight peace, and your taskmasters righteousness.
Violence shall no more be heard in your land, devastation and destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation (yeshuah), and your gates Praise.
The sun shall no more be for you a light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; but YHWH shall be for you an everlasting light, and your God for your glory.
Your sun shall no more go down, nor shall your moon withdraw; for YHWH shall be for you an everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended.
And your people, all of them righteous, for ever shall inherit the land; a branch of my planting, the work of my hands, to be glorified.
The smallest shall become a thousand, and the least a mighty nation; I, YHWH, in its time will hasten it.
