Job 19

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

And Job answered and said:

How long will you grieve my soul (nephesh), and crush me with words?

These ten times you have insulted me; you are not ashamed to wrong me.

And indeed, if I have erred, with me my error lodges.

If indeed you magnify yourselves against me, and argue against me my reproach,

know then that God has wronged me, and has encircled me with His net.

Behold, I cry out, 'Violence!' but I am not answered; I cry for help, but there is no judgment (mishpat).

My way He has walled up so I cannot pass, and upon my paths He sets darkness.

My glory He has stripped from me, and removed the crown of my head.

He breaks me down all around, and I am gone; and He has uprooted my hope like a tree.

And He has kindled His anger against me, and counts me to Him as His adversaries.

Together His troops come, and cast up their way against me, and encamp around my tent.

My brothers He has put far from me, and my acquaintances are wholly estranged from me.

My kinsmen have ceased, and my familiar friends have forgotten me.

Those who dwell in my house, and my maidservants, count me as a stranger; an alien I have become in their eyes.

I called to my servant, but he does not answer; with my mouth I plead to him.

My spirit (ruach) is strange to my wife (ishah), and I plead to the sons of my belly.

Even young children despise me; I arise, and they speak against me.

All the men of my counsel abhor me, and these whom I loved have turned against me.

In my skin and in my flesh (basar) my bone clings, and I have escaped with the skin of my teeth.

Have pity on me, have pity on me, you my friends, for the hand of God has touched me.

Why do you pursue me like God, and are not satisfied with my flesh (basar)?

Oh that my words were now written! Oh that they were inscribed in a book!

With an iron pen and lead, forever in the rock they were engraved!

And I, I know that my Redeemer lives (chai), and at the last He will rise upon the dust (aphar).

And after my skin is destroyed, this, yet in my flesh (basar) I shall see God.

Whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not a stranger; my kidneys are consumed within me.

For you say, 'How shall we pursue him?' since the root of the matter is found in me.

Be afraid for yourselves of the sword, for wrath brings the punishments of the sword, that you may know there is judgment (din).
