1And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying:
2Speak to Aaron and to his sons, that they keep separate from the holy things of the sons of Israel, which they sanctify to me, and that they profane not my holy name: I am YHWH.
3Say to them: Throughout your generations, any man (ish) from all your seed who approaches the holy things, which the sons of Israel sanctify to YHWH, with his uncleanness upon him, that soul (nephesh) shall be cut off from before me: I am YHWH.
4Any man (ish) from the seed of Aaron who is leprous or has a discharge, of the holy things he shall not eat until he is clean. And the one who touches anyone unclean by a soul (nephesh), or a man (ish) from whom goes out an emission of seed;
5or a man (ish) who touches any swarming thing by which he is made unclean, or a man (adam) by whom he is made unclean, for any of his uncleanness;
6a soul (nephesh) who touches it shall be unclean before(ad עד) the evening, and he shall not eat of the holy things unless he washes his flesh (basar) in water.
7And when the sun goes down, he shall be clean; and afterward he may eat of the holy things, for it is his bread.
8A carcass or that which is torn he shall not eat, to be defiled by it: I am YHWH.
9And they shall keep my charge (mishmeret), lest they bear sin for it and die by it, because they profane it: I am YHWH who sanctifies them.
10And no stranger shall eat the holy thing; a tenant of a priest, or a hired servant, shall not eat the holy thing.
11But a priest, when he buys a soul (nephesh), the purchase of his money, he may eat of it; and one born in his house, they may eat of his bread.
12And a priest's daughter, when she becomes a strange man's (ish), she of the heave-offering of the holy things shall not eat.
13But a priest's daughter, when she becomes a widow or divorced, and has no seed, and returns to her father's house, as in her youth, of her father's bread she may eat; but no stranger shall eat of it.
14And a man (ish) when he eats a holy thing in error, then he shall add a fifth part of it to it, and shall give to the priest the holy thing.
15And they shall not profane the holy things of the sons of Israel, which they lift up to YHWH;
16and so cause them to bear the iniquity of guilt when they eat their holy things; for I am YHWH who sanctifies them.
17And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying:
18Speak to Aaron and to his sons and to all the sons of Israel, and say to them: Any man (ish) from the house of Israel, or from the sojourner in Israel, who offers his offering for any of their vows or for any of their freewill-offerings, which they offer to YHWH for a burnt-offering;
19for your acceptance, a perfect male, among the cattle, among the sheep, or among the goats.
20Anything in which there is a blemish you shall not offer; for it shall not be for acceptance for you.
21And a man (ish) when he offers a sacrifice of peace-offerings to YHWH, to fulfill a vow, or for a freewill-offering, of the herd or of the flock, it shall be perfect to be accepted; no blemish shall be in it.
22Blind, or broken, or maimed, or with a wen, or scab, or scurvy, these you shall not offer to YHWH, and a fire-offering you shall not give from them upon the altar to YHWH.
23And an ox or a sheep with a limb overlong or stunted, a freewill-offering you may make it; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.
24And that which is bruised, or crushed, or torn, or cut you shall not offer to YHWH; and in your land you shall not do this.
25And from the hand of a son of a foreigner you shall not offer the bread of your God from any of these, because their corruption is in them, a blemish is in them; they shall not be accepted for you.
26And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying:
27An ox, or a sheep, or a goat, when it is born, then it shall be seven days under its mother; and from the eighth day and onward it shall be accepted for an offering, a fire-offering, to YHWH.
28And an ox or a sheep, it and its young you shall not slaughter in one day.
29And when you sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving to YHWH, for your acceptance you shall sacrifice it.
30On that same day it shall be eaten; you shall not leave any of it until morning: I am YHWH.
31And you shall keep my commandments (mitzvot) and do them: I am YHWH.
32And you shall not profane my holy name, but I will be sanctified among the sons of Israel: I am YHWH who sanctifies you,
33the one who brought you out from the land of Egypt, to be for you God: I am YHWH.
