Luke 4

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

And Yeshua(Jesus), full of hagio(holy) pneuma(spirit), returned from the Jordan and was led by the pneuma(spirit) in the wilderness

for forty days, being tempted by the diabolos(devil, accuser, slanderer); and He ate nothing during those days, and when they were ended He was hungry.

The diabolos(devil, accuser, slanderer) said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread."

Yeshua(Jesus) answered him, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every rhema(spoken-word) of God.'"

And taking Him up, the diabolos(devil, accuser, slanderer) showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of chronos(chronological-time),

and said to Him, "I will give You all this exousia(authority) and their glory, for it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whom I wish.

If You, then, will worship before me, it will all be Yours."

Yeshua(Jesus) answered him, "It is written: 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.'"

Then he brought Him to Jerusalem and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here,

for it is written: 'He will command His angels concerning You, to guard You,'

'and on their hands they will bear You up, lest You strike Your foot against a stone.'"

Yeshua(Jesus) answered him, "It is stated: 'You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.'"

And when the diabolos(devil, accuser, slanderer) had completed every temptation, he departed from Him until a kairos(appointed-time).

And Yeshua(Jesus) returned in the dynamis(power) of the pneuma(spirit) to Galilee, and a report about Him went out through all the surrounding region.

And He was teaching in their synagogues, being glorified by all.

And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up, and entered the synagogue on the day of the sabbatons(referring to every Moed of Leviticus 23) according to His custom, and stood up to read.

And the biblion(scroll) of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him, and He unrolled the biblion(scroll) and found the place where it was written:

"The pneuma(spirit) of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed,

to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."

And He rolled up the biblion(scroll), gave it back to the attendant, and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him.

He began to say to them, "Today this graphe(written-scripture) has been fulfilled in your ears."

And all were speaking well of Him and marveling at the logos(words) of charis(grace) coming from His mouth, and they were saying, "Is this not Joseph's son?"

He said to them, "Surely you will say to Me this parable: 'Physician, heal yourself; what we have heard You did at Capernaum, do here in Your hometown as well.'"

He said, "Truly I say to you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.

But in truth I say to you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up for three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land,

and Elijah was sent to none of them but only to Zarephath in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.

And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian."

When they heard these things, all in the synagogue were filled with rage,

and they rose up and drove Him out of the city and led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built, in order to throw Him down the cliff.

But He passed through their midst and went on His way.

And He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the sabbatons(referring to every Moed of Leviticus 23).

And they were astonished at His teaching, for His logos(word) was with exousia(authority).

And in the synagogue there was a man who had a pneuma(spirit) of an akathartos(unclean) daimonion(individual evil spirit to be expelled), and he cried out with a loud voice,

"Ha! What do we have to do with You, Yeshua(Jesus) of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are — the Holy One of God."

And Yeshua(Jesus) rebuked it, saying, "Be silent and come out of him." And when the daimonion(individual evil spirit to be expelled) had thrown him down in the midst, it came out of him having done him no harm.

And amazement came upon all of them, and they were speaking to one another, saying, "What is this logos(word)? For with exousia(authority) and dynamis(power) He commands the akathartos(unclean) pneuma(spirits), and they come out."

And a report about Him was going out into every place in the surrounding region.

And rising from the synagogue He entered Simon's house; now Simon's mother-in-law was suffering with a high fever, and they appealed to Him about her.

And standing over her He rebuked the fever, and it left her; and immediately she rose and was serving them.

Now when the sun was setting, all who had people sick with various diseases brought them to Him, and He laid His hands on each of them and healed them.

Daimonion(individual evil spirits to be expelled) also came out of many, crying out and saying, "You are the Son of God, the Messiah(Christ)!" And rebuking them He would not allow them to speak, because they knew that He was the Messiah(Christ).

When it became day He departed and went to a desolate place; and the crowds were seeking Him and came to Him, and were trying to keep Him from leaving them.

But He said to them, "I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose."

And He was proclaiming in the synagogues of Galilee.
