Now it came about that while the crowd was pressing around Him to hear the logos(word) of God, He was standing by Lake Gennesaret,
and He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gotten out of them and were washing their nets.
Getting into one of the boats, which was Simon's, He asked him to put out a little from the land, and He sat down and was teaching the crowds from the boat.
And when He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, "Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."
Simon answered and said, "Master, we worked hard all through the night and caught nothing; but at Your rhema(spoken-word) I will let down the net."
When they had done this they enclosed a large number of fish, and their net was breaking;
so they signaled to the metochos(fellow-participant) ones in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so that they began to sink.
But when Simon Peter saw this, he fell down at Yeshua's(Jesus') knees, saying, "Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord."
For amazement had seized him and all those with him at the catch of fish that they had taken,
and likewise also James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon; and Yeshua(Jesus) said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching people alive."
And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed Him.
And it came about that while He was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man full of leprosy; and when he saw Yeshua(Jesus), he fell on his face and begged Him, saying, "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean."
And He stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be cleansed." And immediately the leprosy left him.
And He commanded him to tell no one, saying, "Go and show yourself to the priest and make an offering for your cleansing, just as Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."
But the logos(word) about Him was spreading further, and great crowds were gathering to hear and to be healed of their sicknesses.
But He Himself would withdraw to desolate places and pray.
And it came about that on one of those days He was teaching; and Pharisees and teachers of the nomos(law) were sitting there who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem; and the dynamis(power) of the Lord was present to heal them.
And some men were bringing on a stretcher a man who was paralyzed, and they were trying to bring him in and lay him before Yeshua(Jesus).
And not finding any way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down through the tiles with his stretcher into the middle, in front of Yeshua(Jesus).
And seeing their faith He said, "Man, your sins are forgiven you."
The scribes and Pharisees began to dialogizomai(reason), saying, "Who is this who is speaking blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?"
But Yeshua(Jesus), epiginosko(knowing-without-misjudgment) their dialogismos(reasonings), answered and said to them, "Why are you dialogizomai(reasoning) in your kardia(hearts, soul-domain)?
Which is easier, to say 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say 'Rise and walk'?
But so that you may know that the Son of Man has exousia(authority) on earth to forgive sins" — He said to the man who was paralyzed — "I say to you, rise, take up your stretcher and go to your home."
And immediately he rose up before them, took what he had been lying on, and went to his home, glorifying God.
And amazement seized all of them and they were glorifying God; they were filled with fear, saying, "We have seen extraordinary things today."
After these things He went out and noticed a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax office, and He said to him, "Follow Me."
And he left everything, rose up, and followed Him.
And Levi gave a great banquet for Him in his house, and there was a large crowd of tax collectors and others reclining at table with them.
The Pharisees and their scribes were grumbling at His disciples, saying, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?"
Yeshua(Jesus) answered and said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.
I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to metanoia(repentance, spiritual domain)."
And they said to Him, "The disciples of John fast often and offer prayers, and the disciples of the Pharisees do the same, but Yours eat and drink."
Yeshua(Jesus) said to them, "You cannot make the sons of the wedding hall fast while the bridegroom is with them, can you?
But days will come, and when the bridegroom is taken away from them, in those days they will fast."
He also told them a parable: "No one tears a piece from a new garment and sews it on an old garment; otherwise both the new garment is torn, and the piece from the new will not match the old.
And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the new wine will burst the wineskins and will be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined.
But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved.
And no one after drinking old wine wishes for new, for he says, 'The old is better.'"
