Luke 6

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

Now it came about on a sabbaton(referring to every Moed of Leviticus 23) — the second-first — that He was going through the grain fields, and His disciples were plucking the heads of grain and eating them, rubbing them in their hands.

But some of the Pharisees said to them, "Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the sabbatons(referring to every Moed of Leviticus 23)?"

Yeshua(Jesus) answered and said to them, "Have you not even read what David did when he was hungry, he and those with him —

how he entered the house of God and took and ate the bread of the Presence, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests alone, and also gave it to those with him?"

And He was saying to them, "The Son of Man is Lord of the sabbaton(referring to every Moed of Leviticus 23)."

On another sabbaton(referring to every Moed of Leviticus 23) He entered the synagogue and was teaching; and a man was there whose right hand was withered.

The scribes and Pharisees were paratereo(observing with hostile intent) Him to see if He would heal on the sabbaton(referring to every Moed of Leviticus 23), so that they might find a charge against Him.

But He knew their dialogismos(reasonings) and said to the man with the withered hand, "Rise and stand in the middle." And he rose and stood there.

Then Yeshua(Jesus) said to them, "I ask you: Is it lawful on the sabbatons(referring to every Moed of Leviticus 23) to do good or to do evil, to save a psyche(soul) or to destroy it?"

Looking around at all of them He said to him, "Stretch out your hand." He did so, and his hand was restored as sound as the other.

But they were filled with anoia(mindless-fury) and discussed with one another what they might do to Yeshua(Jesus).

Now it came about in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.

And when day came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also named apostles:

Simon, whom He also named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip and Bartholomew,

and Matthew and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot,

and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.

And coming down with them He stood on a level place, with a large crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases;

and those who were troubled by akathartos(unclean) pneuma(spirits) were being healed.

And all the crowd was seeking to touch Him, for dynamis(power) was coming out from Him and healing all.

And He lifted up His eyes to His disciples and said, "Blessed are the poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

Blessed are those who hunger now, for you will be satisfied; blessed are those who weep now, for you will laugh.

Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and revile you and cast out your name as evil on account of the Son of Man.

Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for in the same way their fathers were doing to the prophets.

But woe to you who are rich, for you are receiving your paraklesis(consolation, encouragement) in full.

Woe to you who are filled now, for you will be hungry; woe to you who are laughing now, for you will mourn and weep.

Woe to you when all people speak well of you, for in the same way their fathers were doing to the false prophets.

But I say to you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

To the one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from the one who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either.

Give to everyone who asks from you, and from the one who takes away what is yours, do not ask it back.

And as you wish people to do for you, do the same for them.

And if you love those who love you, what charis(grace) is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.

And if you do good to those who do good to you, what charis(grace) is that to you? For even sinners do the same.

And if you lend to those from whom you elpis(hope) to receive, what charis(grace) is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners to receive back the same.

But love your enemies and do good and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for He Himself is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

And do not krino(judge) and you will not be krino(judged); do not condemn and you will not be condemned; forgive and you will be forgiven.

Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over will be poured into your lap; for with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

He also told them a parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?

A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.

And why do you see the speck in your brother's eye but do not notice the beam that is in your own eye?

How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the beam in your own eye? Hypocrite, first take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye.

For there is no good tree that produces bad fruit, nor is there a bad tree that produces good fruit.

For each tree is known by its own fruit; for figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor is a grape cluster harvested from a bramble.

The good person out of the good treasure of his kardia(heart, soul-domain) brings forth what is good, and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for out of the overflow of the kardia(heart, soul-domain) the mouth speaks.

And why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I say?

Everyone who comes to Me and hears My logos(words) and does them — I will show you what he is like:

he is like a man building a house who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when a flood arose, the river burst against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built on the rock.

But the one who hears and does not act is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation, against which the river burst, and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great.
