Matthew 11

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

And it came about that when Yeshua(Jesus) finished instructing His twelve disciples, He departed from there to teach and proclaim in their cities.

Now when John in prison heard the works of Messiah(Christ), having sent word through two of his disciples,

he said to Him: "Are You the Coming One, or shall we look for another?"

And Yeshua(Jesus) answered and said to them: "Go and report to John what you hear and see:

the blind receive sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news proclaimed to them.

And blessed is the one who does not skandalizo(stumble) over Me."

And as these were going away, Yeshua(Jesus) began to speak to the crowds about John: "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

But what did you go out to see? A man dressed in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in kings' palaces.

But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and one greater than a prophet.

This is the one about whom it is written: 'Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You.'

Truly I say to you, among those born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptist — yet the one who is least in the kingdom of the heavens is greater than he.

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of the heavens has been advancing forcefully, and the violent are seizing it.

For all the prophets and the nomos(law) prophesied until John.

And if you are willing to accept it, he himself is Elijah who was to come.

The one who has ears to hear, let him hear.

But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces who call out to their companions

and say: 'We played the flute for you and you did not dance; we sang a dirge and you did not mourn.'

For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say: 'He has a demon(individual evil spirit to be expelled).'

The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say: 'Behold, a man who is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners' — yet sophia(wisdom) is justified by her children."

Then He began to denounce the cities in which most of His dynamis(miracles, power) were done, because they did not metanoeo(repent, spiritual domain).

"Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the dynamis(miracles, power) that occurred in you had occurred in Tyre and Sidon, they would have metanoeo(repented, spiritual domain) long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of krisis(judgment) than for you.

And you, Capernaum — you who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades! For if the dynamis(miracles, power) that occurred in you had occurred in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.

But I say to you that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of krisis(judgment) than for you."

At that kairos(appointed-time) Yeshua(Jesus) answered and said: "I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to infants.

Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing before You.

All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one fully knows the Son except the Father, nor does anyone fully know the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and lowly in kardia(heart, soul-domain), and you will find rest for your psyche(souls).

For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
