Matthew 8

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

And when He had come down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him.

And behold, a leper came and was worshiping Him, saying: "Lord, if You are willing, You are able to make me clean."

And stretching out His hand, Yeshua(Jesus) touched him, saying: "I am willing — be cleansed" — and immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

And Yeshua(Jesus) said to him: "See that you tell no one, but go, show yourself to the priest and present the doron(offering, gift) that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."

And as He entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, urging Him

and saying: "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, terribly tormented."

And Yeshua(Jesus) said to him: "I will come and heal him."

The centurion answered and said: "Lord, I am not worthy for You to come under my roof, but only speak a logos(word) and my servant will be healed.

For I also am a man under exousia(authority), with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, 'Go!' and he goes, and to another, 'Come!' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this!' and he does it."

When Yeshua(Jesus) heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following: "Truly I say to you, in no one in Israel have I found such great faith.

And I say to you that many will come from east and west and will recline at table with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens,

but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness — in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

And Yeshua(Jesus) said to the centurion: "Go; let it be done to you as you believed" — and the servant was healed at that hora(that-hour).

And coming into Peter's house, Yeshua(Jesus) saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever.

And He touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she got up and was serving Him.

When opsia(the latter part of the day, afternoon~early evening) came, they brought to Him many demon(individual evil spirit to be expelled)-possessed, and He cast out the pneuma(spirits) with a logos(word) and healed all who were ill —

so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled: "He Himself took our weaknesses and carried our diseases."

Now when Yeshua(Jesus) saw a large crowd around Him, He gave orders to depart to the other side.

And a scribe came and said to Him: "Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go."

And Yeshua(Jesus) said to him: "The foxes have holes and the birds of heaven have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head."

And another of the disciples said to Him: "Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father."

But Yeshua(Jesus) said to him: "Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead."

And when He had gotten into the boat, His disciples followed Him.

And behold, a great seismos(shaking, storm) arose on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves, but He was sleeping.

And the disciples came and woke Him, saying: "Lord, save us — we are perishing!"

And He said to them: "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then getting up, He rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

The people marveled, saying: "What kind of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"

And when He had come to the other side to the region of the Gergesenes, two demon(individual evil spirits to be expelled)-possessed men coming out of the tombs met Him — they were extremely violent, so that no one was able to pass by that road.

And behold, they cried out, saying: "What do we have to do with You, Yeshua(Jesus), Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the kairos(appointed-time)?"

Now there was a large herd of pigs feeding at a distance from them.

The demon(individual evil spirits to be expelled)s were begging Him, saying: "If You cast us out, send us into the herd of pigs."

And He said to them: "Go!" And they came out and went into the pigs, and behold, the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and died in the waters.

The herdsmen fled and went to the city and reported everything, including what had happened to the demon(individual evil spirits to be expelled)-possessed men.

And behold, all the city came out to meet Yeshua(Jesus); and when they saw Him, they urged Him to leave their region.
