1And the princes of the people dwelt in Jerusalem; and the rest of the people cast lots to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine of the parts in the other cities.
2And the people blessed all the men (ish) who willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.
3And these are the heads of the province who dwelt in Jerusalem; but in the cities of Judah dwelt each man (ish) in his possession in their cities — Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinim, and the sons of the servants of Solomon.
4And in Jerusalem dwelt some of the sons of Judah and of the sons of Benjamin. Of the sons of Judah: Athaiah son of Uzziah, son of Zechariah, son of Amariah, son of Shephatiah, son of Mahalalel, of the sons of Perez;
5and Maaseiah son of Baruch, son of Col-hozeh, son of Hazaiah, son of Adaiah, son of Joiarib, son of Zechariah, son of the Shilonite.
6All the sons of Perez who dwelt in Jerusalem were four hundred sixty-eight men (ish) of valor.
7And these are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu son of Meshullam, son of Joed, son of Pedaiah, son of Kolaiah, son of Maaseiah, son of Ithiel, son of Jeshaiah.
8And after him Gabbai, Sallai, nine hundred twenty-eight.
9And Joel son of Zichri was overseer over them, and Judah son of Hassenuah was second over the city.
10Of the priests: Jedaiah son of Joiarib, Jachin;
11Seraiah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God,
12and their brothers who did the work for the house, eight hundred twenty-two; and Adaiah son of Jeroham, son of Pelaliah, son of Amzi, son of Zechariah, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah,
13and his brothers, heads of the fathers' houses, two hundred forty-two; and Amashsai son of Azarel, son of Ahzai, son of Meshillemoth, son of Immer,
14and their brothers, mighty men of valor, a hundred twenty-eight; and overseer over them was Zabdiel, son of Haggedolim.
15And of the Levites: Shemaiah son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, son of Bunni;
16and Shabbethai and Jozabad, over the outside work of the house of God, from the heads of the Levites;
17and Mattaniah son of Mica, son of Zabdi, son of Asaph, the chief who began the thanksgiving at the prayer, and Bakbukiah, the second among his brothers, and Abda son of Shammua, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun.
18All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred eighty-four.
19And the gatekeepers: Akkub, Talmon, and their brothers who kept watch at the gates, a hundred seventy-two.
20And the rest of Israel, the priests, the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, each man (ish) in his inheritance.
21And the Nethinim dwelt in Ophel; and Ziha and Gishpa were over the Nethinim.
22And the overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem was Uzzi son of Bani, son of Hashabiah, son of Mattaniah, son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers, over the work of the house of God.
23For a commandment (mitzvah) of the king was upon them, and a fixed provision for the singers, the matter of a day in its day.
24And Pethahiah son of Meshezabel, of the sons of Zerah son of Judah, was at the king's hand in every matter concerning the people.
25And as for the villages with their fields, some of the sons of Judah dwelt in Kiriath-arba and its daughter-towns, and in Dibon and its daughter-towns, and in Jekabzeel and its villages,
26and in Yeshua, and in Moladah, and Beth-pelet,
27and in Hazar-shual, and in Beer-sheba and its daughter-towns,
28and in Ziklag, and in Meconah and its daughter-towns,
29and in En-rimmon, and in Zorah, and in Jarmuth,
30Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and its fields, Azekah and its daughter-towns; and they encamped from Beer-sheba to the Valley of Hinnom.
31And the sons of Benjamin from Geba: Michmash and Aijah, and Beth-el and its daughter-towns,
32Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah;
33Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim;
34Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat;
35Lod, and Ono, the Valley of the Craftsmen.
36And of the Levites, divisions of Judah were joined to Benjamin.
