1Of David. Bless YHWH, O my soul (nephesh), and all my inward parts, His holy name.
2Bless YHWH, O my soul (nephesh), and do not forget all His benefits;
3Who forgives all your iniquity; who heals all your diseases;
4Who redeems your life (chai) from the pit; who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassions;
5Who satisfies your ornament with good; your youth is renewed like the eagle.
6YHWH does acts of righteousness, and judgments (mishpat) for all the oppressed.
7He makes known His ways to Moses, to the sons of Israel His doings.
8Compassionate and gracious is YHWH, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness.
9He will not contend forever, neither will He keep [His anger] to eternity.
10Not according to our sins has He done to us, and not according to our iniquities has He requited upon us.
11For as the heavens are high above the earth, His lovingkindness has prevailed over those who fear Him.
12As far as the east is from the west, He has removed from us our transgressions.
13As a father has compassion on sons, YHWH has compassion on those who fear Him.
14For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust (aphar).
15Man, like grass are his days; like a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16For a spirit (ruach) passes over it, and it is gone; and its place knows it no more.
17And the lovingkindness of YHWH is from eternity and to eternity upon those who fear Him, and His righteousness to sons of sons;
18To those who keep His covenant (berit), and to those who remember His precepts to do them.
19YHWH has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all.
20Bless YHWH, His messengers, mighty in strength, who do His word, to hearken to the voice of His word.
21Bless YHWH, all His hosts, His ministers who do His pleasure.
22Bless YHWH, all His works, in all places of His dominion; bless YHWH, O my soul (nephesh).
