Psalms 2

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

Why do the nations rage, and the peoples meditate emptiness?

The kings of the earth set themselves, and rulers take counsel together, against YHWH and against his anointed:

"Let us tear off their bonds, and let us cast from us their cords."

He who sits in the heavens laughs; my Lord (Adonai) derides them.

Then he speaks to them in his anger, and in his burning wrath he terrifies them:

"And I, I have set my king upon Zion, my holy mountain."

I will recount the statute (choq) of YHWH: he said to me, "You are my son; I, today, have begotten you.

Ask of me, and I will give nations as your inheritance, and the ends of the earth as your possession.

You shall break them with a rod of iron; like a vessel of a potter you shall shatter them."

And now, O kings, be wise; be admonished, O judges of the earth.

Serve (avad) YHWH with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Kiss the son, lest he be angry and you perish in the way, for his anger kindles in a little while. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.
