Psalms 31

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

To the leader. A psalm of David.

In you, YHWH, I have taken refuge; let me not be ashamed forever; in your righteousness deliver me.

Incline your ear to me, deliver me speedily; be to me a rock of refuge, a house of fortresses to save me (yasha).

For my rock and my fortress are you; and for the sake of your name lead me and guide me.

Bring me out from the net which they hid for me, for you are my stronghold.

Into your hand I commit my spirit (ruach); you have redeemed me, YHWH, God of truth.

I have hated those who keep worthless vanities; but I, in YHWH I have trusted.

I will be glad and rejoice in your lovingkindness, for you have seen my affliction; you have known the distresses of my soul (nephesh).

And you have not delivered me up into the hand of the enemy; you have set my feet in a broad place.

Be gracious to me, YHWH, for I am in distress; my eye wastes away with grief, my soul (nephesh) and my belly.

For my life (chai) is consumed in sorrow, and my years in sighing; my strength fails in my iniquity, and my bones waste away.

Because of all my adversaries I have become a reproach, and to my neighbors exceedingly, and a dread to my acquaintances; those who see me in the street flee from me.

I am forgotten like a dead man out of mind; I have become like a perishing vessel.

For I have heard the slander of many — terror all around — while they conspired together against me; to take my soul (nephesh) they schemed.

But I, in you I have trusted, YHWH; I have said, "You are my God."

In your hand are my times; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who pursue me.

Make your face shine upon your servant; save me (yasha) in your lovingkindness.

YHWH, let me not be ashamed, for I have called upon you; let the wicked be ashamed, let them be silenced to Sheol.

Let the lips of falsehood be made dumb, which speak insolently against the righteous, with pride and contempt.

How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you have wrought for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of man (adam).

You hide them in the secret of your presence from the plots of man (ish); you conceal them in a booth from the strife of tongues.

Blessed be YHWH, for he has made his lovingkindness wondrous to me in a besieged city.

But I, I said in my haste, "I am cut off from before your eyes"; yet you heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to you.

Love YHWH, all his godly ones; YHWH preserves the faithful, and repays abundantly the one who acts in pride.

Be strong, and let your heart be courageous, all you who wait for YHWH.
