2When I call, answer me, O God of my righteousness; in the strait you have made room for me; be gracious to me and hear my prayer.
3Sons of man (ish), how long shall my glory be for shame? You love emptiness, you seek a lie. Selah.
4But know that YHWH has set apart the godly one for himself; YHWH hears when I call to him.
5Tremble and do not sin; speak in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
6Sacrifice sacrifices of righteousness, and trust in YHWH.
7Many are saying, "Who will show us good?" Lift up upon us the light of your face, YHWH.
8You have given gladness in my heart, more than at the time their grain and their new wine increased.
9In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, YHWH, alone make me dwell in safety.
