A Song. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.
Great is YHWH and greatly to be praised, in the city of our God, the mountain of His holiness.
Beautiful in elevation, the joy of all the earth, is mount Zion, the recesses of the north, the city of a great King.
God in her palaces is known as a high refuge.
For behold, the kings assembled; they passed by together.
They saw; so they were amazed; they were terrified, they fled in haste.
Trembling seized them there, anguish like a woman giving birth.
With a spirit (ruach) of the east You break the ships of Tarshish.
As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of YHWH of hosts (tzevaot), in the city of our God; God establishes it forever. Selah.
We have thought, O God, on Your lovingkindness, in the midst of Your temple.
As is Your name, O God, so is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness.
Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of Your judgments (mishpat).
Go around Zion and encircle her; count her towers.
Set your heart to her rampart, consider her palaces, so that you may recount to the latter generation.
For this God is our God forever and ever; He will guide us until death.
