A prayer of David. Incline your ear, YHWH; answer me, for poor and needy am I.
Keep my soul (nephesh), for I am godly; save (yasha) your servant — you are my God — who trusts in you.
Be gracious to me, my Lord (Adonai), for to you I call all the day.
Gladden the soul (nephesh) of your servant, for to you, my Lord (Adonai), I lift up my soul (nephesh).
For you, my Lord (Adonai), are good and forgiving, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon you.
Give ear, YHWH, to my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplications.
In the day of my distress I call upon you, for you will answer me.
There is none like you among the gods, my Lord (Adonai), and there are none like your works.
All nations whom you have made shall come and bow down before you, my Lord (Adonai), and shall glorify your name.
For you are great and do wonders; you are God, you alone.
Teach me, YHWH, your way; I will walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.
I will praise you, my Lord (Adonai), my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify your name forever.
For your lovingkindness is great over me, and you have delivered my soul (nephesh) from the lowest Sheol.
O God, proud ones have risen up against me, and a company of violent ones have sought my soul (nephesh), and have not set you before them.
But you, my Lord (Adonai), are a God compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.
Turn to me and be gracious to me; give your strength to your servant, and save (yasha) the son of your handmaid.
Make with me a sign (ot) for good, that those who hate me may see and be ashamed, because you, YHWH, have helped me and comforted me.
