Revelation 18

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven having great exousia(authority), and the earth was illuminated by his doxa(glory).

And he cried out with a strong voice, saying, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, and she has become a dwelling place of demon(individual evil spirits to be expelled)s and a prison of every akathartos(impure, unclean) pneuma(spirit) and a prison of every akathartos(impure, unclean) and hated bird.

Because all the ethne(nations, Gentiles) have fallen from the wine of the fury of her sexual immorality, and the kings of the earth committed sexual immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth became rich from the dynamis(power) of her sensual excess."

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, my people, so that you do not synkoinoneo(co-participate) in her sins and so that you do not receive her plagues,

because her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her wrongdoings.

Pay her back as she also paid back, and double to her double according to her works; in the cup that she mixed, mix for her double.

As much as she glorified herself and lived in sensual excess, give her just as much torment and grief, because she says in her kardia(heart, soul-domain), 'I sit as queen, and I am not a widow, and I will by no means see grief.'

For this reason in a single day her plagues will come — death and grief and famine — and she will be burned up with fire, because strong is the Lord God who krino(judges) her.

And the kings of the earth who committed sexual immorality and lived in sensual excess with her will weep and beat their chests over her when they see the smoke of her burning,

standing far off out of fear of her torment, saying, "Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon the strong city, because in one hora(that-hour) your krisis(judgment) has come."

And the merchants of the earth weep and grieve over her, because no one buys their cargo anymore —

cargo of gold and silver and precious stone and pearls and fine linen and purple and silk and scarlet, and every kind of citrus wood and every article of ivory and every article of very costly wood and bronze and iron and marble,

and cinnamon and spices and incense and myrrh and frankincense and wine and olive oil and fine flour and wheat and cattle and sheep, and cargo of horses and carriages and bodies and psychai(souls) of people.

And the fruit of your psyche(soul)'s epithymia(lust, desire, strong craving) has departed from you, and all the luxurious and splendid things have perished from you and will never be found anymore.

The merchants of these things, those who became rich from her, will stand far off out of fear of her torment, weeping and grieving,

saying, "Woe, woe, the great city, the one clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet and adorned with gold and precious stone and pearls,

because in one hora(that-hour) such great wealth was laid waste!" And every ship's captain and everyone sailing to a place and sailors and as many as work the sea stood far off

and cried out, seeing the smoke of her burning, saying, "What city is like the great city?"

And they threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and grieving, saying, "Woe, woe, the great city, in which all who have ships on the sea became rich from her costliness, because in one hora(that-hour) she was laid waste."

Rejoice over her, heaven and the holy ones and the apostles and the prophets, because God has krino(judged) her with your krima(verdict) against her.

And one strong angel lifted up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, "Thus with violence will Babylon the great city be thrown down, and will by no means be found anymore.

And the sound of kithara(harp) players and musicians and flute players and trumpet players will by no means be heard in you anymore, and every craftsman of every craft will by no means be found in you anymore, and the sound of a mill will by no means be heard in you anymore,

and the light of a lamp will by no means shine in you anymore, and the voice of a bridegroom and bride will by no means be heard in you anymore, because your merchants were the great ones of the earth, because all the ethne(nations, Gentiles) were led astray by your pharmakeia(sorcery, poisoning).

And in her was found the blood of prophets and of holy ones and of all those slaughtered on the earth.
