Chronicles 29

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

And David the king said to all the assembly, "Solomon my son, the one whom God has chosen, is young and tender, and the work is great; for the palace is not for man (adam), but for YHWH God.

And with all my strength I have prepared for the house of my God: the gold for the gold, and the silver for the silver, and the bronze for the bronze, the iron for the iron, and the wood for the wood; onyx stones and stones for setting, stones of antimony and of variegated color, and every precious stone, and marble stones in abundance.

And moreover, in my delight in the house of my God, I have a treasure of gold and silver; I have given it to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house:

three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses;

gold for the gold, and silver for the silver, and for all the work by the hands of craftsmen. And who is willing to fill his hand today for YHWH?"

And the princes of the fathers' houses, and the princes of the tribes of Israel, and the princes of the thousands and the hundreds, and the princes over the king's work, offered willingly.

And they gave for the service (avodah) of the house of God five thousand talents of gold and ten thousand darics, and ten thousand talents of silver, and eighteen thousand talents of bronze, and a hundred thousand talents of iron.

And those with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasury of the house of YHWH, under the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

And the people rejoiced over their willing offering, for with a whole heart they offered willingly to YHWH; and also David the king rejoiced with great joy.

And David blessed YHWH before the eyes of all the assembly; and David said, "Blessed are you, YHWH, God of Israel our father, from everlasting and to everlasting.

Yours, YHWH, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours; yours, YHWH, is the kingdom, and you are exalted as head over all.

And the wealth and the honor are from before you, and you rule over all; and in your hand is power and might; and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.

And now, our God, we give thanks to you, and we praise the name of your glory.

And who am I, and who is my people, that we should retain strength to offer willingly like this? For all is from you, and from your hand we have given to you.

For we are strangers before you, and sojourners, like all our fathers; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope.

YHWH our God, all this abundance that we have prepared to build you a house for the name of your holiness, is from your hand, and it is all yours.

And I know, my God, that you test the heart, and you delight in uprightness. I, in the uprightness of my heart, have willingly offered all these; and now your people who are found here, I have seen with joy offering willingly to you.

YHWH, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever as the inclination of the thoughts of the heart of your people, and direct their heart to you.

And to Solomon my son give a whole heart to keep your commandments (mitzvot), your testimonies (edot), and your statutes (chuqqot), and to do all, and to build the palace for which I have prepared."

And David said to all the assembly, "Bless now YHWH your God." And all the assembly blessed YHWH, the God of their fathers, and they bowed and prostrated themselves to YHWH and to the king.

And they sacrificed sacrifices to YHWH, and they offered up burnt offerings to YHWH, on the morrow of that day: a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel;

and they ate and drank before YHWH on that day with great joy. And they made Solomon the son of David king a second time, and they anointed him to YHWH as leader, and Zadok as priest.

And Solomon sat on the throne of YHWH as king instead of David his father, and he prospered; and all Israel listened to him.

And all the princes and the mighty men, and also all the sons of king David, gave a hand under Solomon the king.

And YHWH magnified Solomon exceedingly in the eyes of all Israel, and gave upon him royal majesty such as had not been on any king before him over Israel.

And David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.

And the days that he reigned over Israel were forty years; in Hebron he reigned seven years, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three.

And he died in a good old age, full of days, wealth, and honor; and Solomon his son reigned in his place.

And the acts of David the king, the first and the last, behold, they are written in the words of Samuel the seer, and in the words of Nathan the prophet, and in the words of Gad the seer;

with all his reign and his might, and the times that passed over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the lands.
