1And the queen of Sheba heard the report of Solomon concerning the name of YHWH, and she came to prove him with riddles.
2And she came to Jerusalem with a very great company, with camels bearing spices, and very much gold, and precious stone; and she came to Solomon, and spoke to him all that was with her heart.
3And Solomon told her all her words; there was not a thing hidden from the king which he did not tell her.
4And the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
5and the food of his table, and the seating of his servants, and the standing of his attendants, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his burnt offering which he offered up at the house of YHWH; and there was no more spirit (ruach) in her.
6And she said to the king: "It was a true word that I heard in my own land concerning your acts and concerning your wisdom.
7But I did not believe the words, until I came, and my eyes saw; and behold, the half was not told to me; you have added wisdom and good above the report which I heard.
8Happy are your men (ish), happy are these your servants, who stand before you continually, who hear your wisdom.
9Blessed be YHWH your God, who delighted in you, to set you upon the throne of Israel; because YHWH loved Israel forever, therefore he made you king, to do judgment (mishpat) and righteousness."
10And she gave to the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices very much, and precious stone; there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
11And also the fleet of Hiram, which carried gold from Ophir, brought from Ophir very much almug wood, and precious stone.
12And the king made of the almug wood supports for the house of YHWH, and for the house of the king, and harps and lyres for the singers; there came no such almug wood, nor was it seen, to this day.
13And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire which she asked, besides what he gave her according to the hand of king Solomon. And she turned and went to her own land, she and her servants.
14And the weight of the gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,
15besides from the men (ish) of the merchants, and the traffic of the traders, and all the kings of the mixed people, and the governors of the land.
16And king Solomon made two hundred large shields of beaten gold; six hundred of gold went up on the one large shield.
17And three hundred shields of beaten gold; three minas of gold went up on the one shield; and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
18And the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with refined gold.
19Six steps to the throne, and the top of the throne was round behind; and there were arms on this side and on that side, by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the arms.
20And twelve lions standing there upon the six steps on this side and on that side; there was not made the like for any kingdom.
21And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; there was no silver, it was not accounted of anything in the days of Solomon.
22For the king had a fleet of Tarshish at sea with the fleet of Hiram; once in three years came the fleet of Tarshish, bearing gold and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
23And king Solomon was greater than all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.
24And all the earth sought the face of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
25And they brought every man (ish) his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armor, and spices, horses, and mules, the matter year by year.
26And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen; and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he placed them in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
27And the king made the silver in Jerusalem like stones, and the cedars he made like the sycamores that are in the lowland, for abundance.
28And the going out of the horses which Solomon had was from Egypt, and from Kue; the merchants of the king took from Kue at a price.
29And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty; and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Aram, by their hand they brought them out.
